"Where did the views go?" Red Velvet fans raise concern on Youtube's deletion of views on the groups' MV and performance video

Red Velvet's most awaited comeback with the title track 'Feel My Rhythm' has undoubtedly made the group achieve another milestone. With it, the group had their highest entry position on Spotify at #102 with one million streams, spends two straight days at #1 on the 2022 WorldwideiTunes Album Chart, and continuously climbs its way up to the top of the Korean charts. With Red Velvet breaking their own records, there is one thing that the fans find it hard to believe - the extremely low views of the group's Music Video on Youtube.

Released on March 21, Red Velvet's Feel  My Rhythm MV quickly hit 1 million views within an hour. It then began to trend in 29 countries and also became the 1st SM artist to trend two straight days at #1 Worldwide on YouTube in 2022.

However, after 24 hours of release, the groups' MV with 1

However, after 24 hours of release, the groups' MV with 1.1M likes did not even exceed more than 8 million views. Worries and suspicion then began growing on the fans, making them gather facts to do a thorough investigation. One of them consolidated and compared the groups' MV views and likes to other girl groups' who also made their comeback this 2022. Despite what was happening, the fans continued to focus on streaming. However, after the release of the performance video yesterday, March 23, the fans couldn't help but take action. Once again, the views and the likes did not match up. With more than 100K likes, the views were only less than 39K after 2 hours of its posting. Youtube is estimated to have removed 282K of its views in a minute.

Below are what some of the Reveluvs say regarding the issue:

"Even before the MV release, RV's comeback has already garnered domestic and international attention, even non-fans. Thus, making them attain more than 500k preorder sales. This comeback is bigger than Queendom with all the higher budget, content, and promotion. However, Queendom's MV reached 16M 24 hours after its release, but Feel My Rhythm did not?? And now, it's happening with the Performance Video too. There is something really wrong going on."

"Views are very important to win music shows. Yet this is what's happening."

"Yes it could be possible that the views just freeze but with all the worldwide trends and new records achieved? this is really worrying."

"This is so sad and frustrating. I doubt this is the real number when multiple people stream properly. Something is really off."
