Chapter 3 ~A Lady Manager?

Ciel's pov.

It had been three days since the health exams and I was given a new case. I had very little problems with the police it was the undertakers that were the problem. Wait they weren't called that anymore unless they worked at a cemetery. They were called.... What was it ohhh right morticians. Needless to say it was hard to get anything from them because of all the forensics that needed to be done and they wouldn't let me see the dead body or even tell me their findings. I truly hated the evolution of technology because it made it hard for me to do my job for the Queen. I had Sebastian hack into their systems to get what I needed and I was reading over the files when he walked into the room.

"Young master we need to head to school." He says before giving a small bow. I scowl before locking the files up not wanting anyone to find them as I did my investigation, which was becoming harder with the host club bugging me about not being there the last few days. "Sebastian as soon as classes are over today I want you to find a way for us to see the body." I say and he bows giving me the normal "Yes my lord." Once at school the twins were right in my face and I give them an annoyed scowl. "Tamaki said you two needed to be in club today." They say at the same time and I give a small sigh. "No." I say in a board tone and they give me looks of disbelief as if no one has ever said no to them or to that blond moron before. "Is something wrong Ciel?" Haruhi asks and I give a small sigh. "I have a business meeting today once school is over so I can't be in club." I say and the twins frown a little.

"So have your parents deal with it." They say and I give a small sigh before looking over at Sebastian who shakes his head a little as he listens to them. I look away from them annoyed that they would even dare suggest such a thing considering that my parents have been dead for a while now. I didn't even bother answering them because class starts and by lunch I drag Sebastian to an abandoned looking classroom before we start to work on the case once again. I had no real interest in interacting with the humans here, the only reason I was bothering to do so was to keep up my appearance and because Sebastian made me do so. I give a small sigh before shaking my head a few times. This case was much to easy now that Sebastian had gotten what I needed. "Sebastian get me a list of people who fit this description." I say in a board tone before waving a dismissive hand at him. "Yes my lord." He says with a bow before rushing off to get what I needed.

I give a sigh as I take a seat before looking slowly around the room I was in. 'What would my father think if he saw this day and age?' I think before shaking my head a little knowing that my father would make the best of things like he used to. Before the fire I never would have thought about such a thing as computers or cell phones or even airplanes. No the fire that killed my parents changed my life in ways I never thought it would, meeting Sebastian was a somewhat happy side effect of that. I was pulled from my thoughts but a sigh. "Ciel are you alright?" Haruhi asks me and I look over at her before shaking me head a little. "I'm fine. I just have a lot on my mind." I say and she gives a sigh. "If you had a lot on your mind then tears wouldn't be falling down your face. So do you want to talk about it?" She asks me and I give another sigh before shaking my head a few times. "It's nothing. Truly it is nothing for you to worry about." I say and she nods slowly as if she didn't really believe me. When her back was turned I quickly whip my face clean and was a little shocked by the tears that clung to my fingers but I dry my hands quickly before following her back to our class room.

Once school was over Sebastian and I make a quick exit and were back to the manor in no time. I head right to my office to start working and Sebastian was right behind me reading off the list he had made during lunch including alibis and such. "We found the killer." I say in a board tone wishing that I had a challenge for once. We send the information to the Queen as well as the police so the case could be solved. "What would you like to do now young master?" Sebastian asks me and I look over at him. "Relax and have time to myself. I was thinking of going out and walking in the garden." I say and he nods before leaving me to do as I pleased. I head up to my room fist before changing into my normal cloths before walking out to the garden. I walk until I arrive at the roses and give a small sigh. 'Mother would like these. Maybe I will have Sebastian bring in some roses.' I think before taking a seat and enjoying the sun as it shined down on me.
