Matsuno Chifuyu is a lonely assassin, and Baji Keisuke is slightly obsessed with him.
- “Hmm, I suppose I’ll forgive you this time Baji-san. But I’ll have to decline your job offer. That ‘shitty nobody’ is relying on me. It’s been a pleasure.” Chifuyu extracted his hands from Baji’s grip and tried to slip through the door; unfortunately, Baji’s arm blocked the exit.
“I won’t let you leave until you accept. I’ll pay any price just to have you at my side, working for me.” Baji persisted, his demeanor becoming increasingly demanding.
Chifuyu supposes he’ll have to take the difficult route then. Bringing the hidden knife up, he quickly stabs Baji in the bicep. Baji flinches, letting out a pained cry and freeing the doorway. Chifuyu quickly slips through and runs towards the stairway although it doesn’t appear as if Baji is making any attempt to follow after him.
“I won’t let you go, you know. I’m a very persistent man. I’ll convince you to work for me.” Baji rasps out after him.
“I’m looking forward to our next meeting, Baji-san.”
