“C’mon dude, spit it out,” Chifuyu’s voice is feigning annoyance, and he’s smiling as he speaks.
Takemichi can feel his heartbeat in his fingertips. Moments pass, and nothing comes out. He closes his mouth and looks away, staring into the black water nearby. It’s almost churning as a large branch floats down the current, disappearing under the water.
