Alejandro was getting sick of Economy Class. Constantly having to deal with another team, dripping from the ceiling, and maintaining control of his team just to name a few issues.
Miranda on the other hand, couldn't care less about where she was. As long as she was still in the game, she was content, in that respect.
But Alejandro was running out of patience, hearing Owen's constant snoring and panicking.
"Will you pipe down already?" he elbowed his side.
Izzy gasped as Owen panicked more, lashing out and punching Alejandro. He fell to the ground and Miranda gasped, covering her mouth.
Owen woke up, confused. "Woah...what a terrible dream. Al, what happened?"
"Nothing a little ice and revenge won't fix." he grinned.
"Cool...Wait...did you say revenge?"
"Of course not...off-topic, do you have any...serious allergies?" he asked snakily.
"Uh..let's see now." Owen pondered.
Miranda went over to him, getting down on her knees as he sat up. She put her hands on Alejandro's cheeks, turning his head to look at her. She gasped at the sight of his swollen eye.
Alejandro couldn't help but lose himself in her doll-like eyes, smirking. Those eyes were so full of life, yet so empty."Chica, I'm alright. No need to worry."
She flinched, then quickly took her hands off his face and stood up. She suddenly left the room and went around the plane to look for Chris. She didn't find him, but she did find his right-hand man.
"What do you want, girly?" Chef asked gruffly.
She hummed sheepishly. "Alejandro needs first aid. Owen punched him in his sleep. His eye is totally swollen."
He rolled his eyes. "Why should I do anything?"
"Because he needs it. Just an eyepatch will be fine. Don't you think he'd look good in one?" she snickered quietly.
He paused, sighing in defeat after a moment of consideration.
"I'll be right there."
She grinned, going back to Economy Class and sitting down with her team. Chef came in soon after with an eyepatch, which he put over Alejandro's eye. Miranda silently thanked him, as he shot her a quick glance and a nod. But Alejandro could tell where that gaze of his was directed. She took a confessional about the occurrence.
"Yeah, I helped him. If he wants me at my best, he might as well be at his. I-It's not like I care, I just don't want him getting distracted during the challenge today."
Chris soon came over the intercom.
"Brace for landing! We've arrived at our next destination, the Amazon! But, the runway's a little short. Gosh, I hope none of the Amazons said this might be lucky for them. That'd be disastrous~!"
Soon the plane landed roughly in a humid and dense jungle.
"Welcome to Peru. Birthplace of the mighty Amazon River. This challenge is called 'The Am-AH-zon Race!' Teams must hike along an ancient Inca trail through the Peruvian jungle, all the way to Machu Picchu, a golden treasure awaits discovery. Find the treasure to win First Class passage to our next destination. Last team to arrive at Machu Picchu will have to send someone out the elimination door. And be warned, the jungle contains many vicious insects."
Cody raised his hand quickly.
"Yes, Cody. The legal department made me well aware of your deathly allergies and insisted we supply an EpiPen. Wouldn't make sense to give it to the person who has the allergies. What if you need an injection while you're unconscious?"
