April Kepner x Reader

April Kepner is one of my oldest and closest friends. We came to Gray Sloan memorial hospital together, we told each other everything and we know everything about each other. Even the weird little details of our lives we share them. So I have known for years that April wants to wait till marriage to lose her virginity and I one hundred percent support it. I am not against religion but personally it's not for me and April respects that. I was walking the halls of Gray Sloan when I saw through the window of a door someone crying. As I looked closer I saw that it was April. I knocked on the door and April spun round to face me. She quickly tried to wipe away her tears and came to unlock the door, "Hey Y/n." She said, voice betraying her. I pushed her into the room gently and locked the door behind me, "Sweetheart what's wrong?" I asked, pulling her into my chest and holding her tightly. She began crying again, her sobs muffled by my shirt, "Just Jackson and some others from Mercy west." I rubbed her back soothingly and let her cry it all out. "What did they say darling?" I asked her as I lifted her head up to look at me. I wiped her tears off her rosy cheeks and she smiled sadly, "They were making fun of me for wanting to wait till marriage to have sex. They said I wasn't a real woman because I haven't slept with anyone" She said dejectedly. I was shocked and angry and April saw that "What the fuck! What right do they have to say that? You're not a real woman because you haven't had sex? Half the girls from Mercy west are sluts who couldn't keep their legs closed even if they tried! And Jackson is a trust fund dickface who has probably been with half the girls from Mercy West!" I said angrily. April grabbed my face and stroked my cheeks gently, "It's okay Y/n they aren't worth getting angry over." She said soothingly. I shook my head and looked at her with a soft gaze, "They made you cry, they deserve a lot more than me being angry at them." She giggled softly and gave me a hug, I lifted her head so she was looking at me and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "April Kepner, you are one of, if not the most beautiful, kind, intelligent, loyal, sweetest person I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Never let me see you crying over the words of lesser people ever again. You are so much more than they will ever be." I said looking her in the eyes. Her eyes filled with tears as I stroked her cheek gently. She was mailing from ear to ear and a beautiful rosy blush crept onto her cheeks, "Thank you Y/n, you always know what to say." I smiled softly and kissed her cheek before giving her a long hug, "I will always be here for you darling."
