Author's Note:
Hi, y'all! kofpoponce here! Welcome to the Pilot of "The Commuter". A while back, I contemplated taking films and other stories that I enjoyed and regurgitating them with "kpop idol characters" for your entertainment. This is because I am so busy lately, dealing with my third undergraduate year: what am I going to do in the future, looking at graduate schools, finding summer opportunities, planning my summer out, taking five stem classes in the current semester (what was I thinking?), et cetera, et cetera.
A "pilot" in the world of cinematography is "a single segment of a projected series of television shows, prepared for showing to prospective commercial sponsors and, sometimes, later broadcast." In this case, it is a snippet of the story that I think conveys the main idea of the plot. That being said, this is obviously a trial chapter of a potential film that I loved and will finish depending on how well-received it is by y'all. I am doing this because it is easier for me to just copy-paste the manuscript, clean it up with some descriptive details, and replace the characters with Korean celebrities. Less work, and I still get to share an awesome story. If you do want to read the full story, I beg that you do not go watch the movie (I plan for the title to stay the same) until you've finished your story.
Or don't listen to me. Go watch it. Don't come back to this story. Or come back later to see how close I regurgitated the story (but I honestly don't know why you'd want to do that).
In any case, I hope you enjoy and I will start selecting another story to regurgitate in the meantime. I am still working on "Fallen" (for those who are aware of that work) and I'm about 70-75% of the way through. Just gotta get through the climaxes and resolution and then it'll be done. But these "novel series" (I guess I'll call it this for now) will be an on-off project where I can always come back and continue as I want (likely whenever I get writer's block but we'll see).
Whatever may happen next, I ask that you stick by and enjoy this story. That being said, enjoy my pilot chapter of "The Commuter".
***Disclaimer: I do not own the story/plot of "The Commuter" (starring Liam Neeson) in any shape or form. Please don't remove this story. It is fictional, made up, and not a reflection of the actual film of the same name. ok I'm done. Go read now :)
"Boarding call for the 6:25. Line 1, Gyeongbu Express, Seoul to Cheonan. Six, twenty-five. Line 1, Gyeongbu Express, Seoul to Cheonan."
Euna walked across the terminal of Seoul Station, making his way underground to the metro tunnels. Slipping in and out of the waves of in- and outbound travelers, Euna gradually found his way onto the escalator, packed with other travelers. Halfway down, the turnstiles were in sight and filled with people with the police at the front.
"Excuse me." Donghoon squeezed himself past everyone standing on the escalator, rushing down the left side of the escalator, past Euna. "'Scuse me."
Donghoon soon found that his rush to the bottom was all for naught. Euna watched as Donghoon impatiently jumped up and down in a desperate attempt to move forward in the group but to no avail. Euna held back a laugh as he stepped up right behind him.
