Purpled's pov
8 am. ugh. his alarm rang... and rang... and rang... before Purpled swiftly swung his arm and turned off that dreaded alarm.
He sat up in his bed and contemplated getting ready but just decided to get up and start his day. taking a quick shower, brushing his teeth, and changing into comfortable but presentable clothes grounded the insomniac alien to existence. He looked in the mirror to fix his hair, but that ended up making the boy stare at himself.
His droopy, violet antennas. His pale, tan-ish dirty blond hair. His purple glittery freckles that illuminated a saturated, amethyst like colour whenever he felt a positive emotion. He noted he was unique from the rest. Not super unique, but wasn't as boring as some bear or cat hybrid. It didn't bother him nor satisfy him.
He decided that was enough staring at himself for now and grabbed his sketchbook, stuffing it in the button filled backpack before heading downstairs to the front door to leave. His brother Punz usually leaves earlier than him so it was normal for the house to be empty when he was ready but it still had an eerie feel to the lonely home as he grabbed a bottle of strawberry milk from the fridge and left, locking the pale, white door behind him.
He wore his ear buds and glanced across the rising sun as he strolled along the sidewalk. It was bright, but it also made his neighbourhood and the city he was walking around look bigger. Those who are quite near by appear to be golden. Photo's would have taken a lot more pictures if he could reproduce this beauty, but he has already tried. He was unable to take a semi-decent image out of it, so the only thing he could do was draw it. Purpled was a fantastic artist. He primarily sketched still life and portraits of people he'd either imagined or seen on the street that piqued his curiosity. Purpled was a talented oil painter as well. He didn't do it very often, but he had the ability. He knew he'd need it to get into art school, so he painted every now and then to keep his spark alive until he had to take it seriously. So far, it had merely been a fun hobby for him, which was better than despising it at all.
Purpled arrived at the school. He sighed and kept his head down as he walked through the halls filled with people. Since this school didn't have all his friends, it wasn't very enjoyable. His closest friends and his friend group were at his old school him and his brother got unfairly expelled from but hey at least they have boomer and hannah here. I mean, they're the ones purpled "hated" the most but he could deal, no matter how annoying they were, it was better than the guys his brother hung out with. They seemed to be the most irritating to him. Once Purpled navigated to his locker, he slung off his backpack and put it in his locker, removing the essential notebook, binder, a textbook or two and pencil case. That's pretty much all he needed since he could doodle in his notebook. The little alien flinched when he closed his locker, seeing Boomer appear almost out of nowhere beside the door. "Ugh hey boomer" he lightheartedly grimaced and sarcastically rolled his eyes, heading to class with him.
One class turned into multiple as his day went by, and the day got more boring and boring and boring. He didn't have art club today since the teacher wasn't here so he had really nothing to look forward to other than hanging out with his friends or playing video games—which both seemed pretty fun in the moments he thought about it. He kind of wished more interesting stuff happened to him specially at this school. All the interesting stuff always happened to his brother and everyone always forgot about him. 'maybe I just need more friends' Suddenly, the lunch bell interrupted his thoughts and he got up just like everyone else, grabbing his stuff and leaving pretty quickly to go get his food. His school was a little strange in lunch periods. They let kids outside during lunch periods so they could go get something like KFC or subway if they had a annual permission slip. Purpled had that. he just didn't want to walk all the way to the plaza even though it was close by. Punz and the older's group tried to convince him but he was way too tired so all he really did was grab a small snack from the cafeteria like a banana and had his sketch book and pencil, taking them with him outside. He decided that there wasn't a lot of people around outside where he was so he sat down on a bench criss crossed and started to draw. He decided he wouldn't draw still life today and drew random character designs he thought of. There was some similar to people at his school for sure, he just thought their clothes were boring and made them into video game characters. It's not that weird right? eh probably not. that's when he started getting randomly anxious.
