his dream

Purpled had woke up, sitting in cave. A dark one but the rock it was made from seemed a nice indigo color, and had sorta glitter in it if you walked closer to it. He hesitantly sat up and looked around. It was a little humid and he noticed he was wearing black and blue swim trunks and a purple shirt. The cave looked familiar but he only realized it was one knew once he reached where the entrance would've been. A beach. It was the cave beside him and tiredtwt's favourite beach. Well they didn't go there anymore. not often at least.

There wasn't that much people on it. It was a little dim actually. The sun seemed as it was just about to set and there were only 2-3 people still there but far away from the main group. He watched, halting his breath softly when he couldn't find himself. This wasn't a normal dream he normally had. being there. he would always have to watch from afar. He panicked quietly, looking down and tried to stomp on a puddle. The puddle wasn't splashing. He got pulled out of his thoughts when he heard a shriek of panic. "PUNZ! GET PUNZ!" was all he heard when he whipped his head up towards the noise. Boomer was swimming towards what seemed to be punz. drowning. He ran towards the group instinctively from the cave as they all watched punz stop struggling and boomer swimming down. Purpled couldn't swim. he couldn't help. He looked up at Wali completely forgetting this was a dream. Wali was only watching, just like everyone else. Why wasn't anyone going to help them? This wasn't them. He then realized, He couldn't get wali's attention. Was he really going to watch from afar again? like every other time.

Boomer soon came above the water and swam to the surface sand, Punz on their shoulder. Punz seemed completely out of it. Purpled's anxiety rose. and rose. Boomer put him down on the sand and purpled immediately tried to preform cpr on his older brother, completely panicked. this time he could touch them now. they were all looking at the two. in their attention now.

Punz wasn't spitting up anything yet, and purpled started to speed up his breathing, his throat closing up in fear. Why isn't anyone helping? Why why why? stop watching! stop stop stop! He wasn't the only one who could hear the water move around in his brother's stomach and lungs right? right?

Eventually, punz started to cough out a waterfall of salty beach water he unwillingly drank from the ocean and purpled pushed him to lay on his side to make it easier. this lasted for a few seconds before he stopped. His eyes were blank before he closed them. There's nothing left inside of him. He's empty now. there isn't even one small breath. Punz only became limp beside him as purpled laid him down on his back again.

All he could hear is everyone's whispers around him. It was so loud. too loud. too much attention. too much too much. Just when he was going to hug punz, he felt someone pull him slightly away and hug him, rubbing his back gently. He didn't care who it was at this point. he needed it. His vision was to blurry to tell who it was anyways but he hugged back, gripping the person's surprisingly soft shirt and closed his eyes, softly crying, as hushed as he could. he doesn't cry. he could never cry. don't cry. stop crying.

he fluttered his eyes open through his tears again and he was... in his room. he looked down to see who was hugging him and it was tommy. he knew right away due to the other's bright blonde hair. maybe he was hugging him in his dream, but then he realized, he was still crying. fuck. he hiccuped and moved one hand to wipe his eyes and cover his mouth. It's too early. everything is too early.

they're hanging out too early. they're sleeping over too early. they're cuddling too early. purpled's crying in front of him. too. early. Purpled hated crying. sure it felt good after but he hated people seeing him vulnerable. Everything was going so quickly. He wondered why he trusted tommy so quick. He felt confused. so upset. but so safe in the other's arms. his tears slowed down a little as he tried to calm down, focus on the affection and silent comfort being given to him.

"...sorry" he muttered once his crying fully stopped. Tommy only snuggled in response. "don't apologize"

they both fell asleep again.
