That morning Jack, Delia and Will went to meet Mr Gibbs at the dock to find their new crew members.

"Feast your eyes, captain. All of them faithful hands before the mast, every man worth his salt - and crazy to boot." Announced, Gibbs, proud of the man he had found.

Jack moved down the line of sailors observing them closely. Will wasn't impressed with the men.

"So this is your able-bodied crew?"

"Aye." He stood in front of a man with a large parrot on his shoulder. "You, sailor!" He began.

"Cotton, Sir." Gibbs informed.

"Mr. Cotton. Do you have the courage and fortitude to follow orders and stay true in the face of danger and almost certain death?" The man didn't answer. "Cotton! Answer me mate!"

"He's a mute, Sir. Poor devil had his tongue cut off" Mr Gibbs sighed.

The man opened his mouth to show the proof of Gibbs' story. Jack stuck his tongue out in disgust. Delia simply tried no to vomit in her mouth.

"He trained the parrot to talk for him. we 're still trying to figure out how." Finished Gibbs.

"Well then..... Mr. Cotton....'s Parrot. Same Question."

"Wind in your sails! Wind in your Sails!"

The three of them looked at each other and back at the parrot with confusion.

"We assume that means yes. Cap'."

"Of course it does!" Jack confidently turned to Will. "Satisfied?"

"Well, you've proven they're mad." Will answered.

"It's more fun than normal." Delia stated. Another sailor spoke.

"And what's the benefit for us?"

Jack walked over to the sailor. Head held down with a hat covering their face. Jack squatted to try and see the face of them. He took their hat.

"Anamaria." Jack said in a happy tone. Hoping it would stop what was about to happen.

She seemed pretty angry. She slapped him right across the face. Yep she was certainly angry.

"I suppose you didn't deserve that one each?" Will looked down at Jack who was so bent off from the slap.

"No, I deserve that one."

"You stole my boat!"

"Actually I-" she slapped him again harder this time. "Borrowed..... borrowed, without permission. But with every intention of bringing it back." He exclaimed, ignoring the pain.

"But you DIDN'T!"

"You'll get another one!"

"I WILL" she threatened.

"A better one." suggested Will, nudging me to help.

"Ahhh..... That one." I pointed to the Interceptor.

Jack looked at where I was pointing. "That One!?" He looked at me with wide eyes.

"Yes..... That one." I looked at him, giving him a wink hoping he would understand.

Jack thankfully got it. "Aye! That one! What say you?"

That night on the ship a powerful, raging storm had commenced. The ship was getting hit wave, by wave. Not to mention I couldn't see a bloody thing with all the rain.

I was standing on the quarterdeck with Jack over hearing Will ask Gibbs how they were supposed to find an island that nobody can find, with a compass that doesn't work.

The compass doesn't point north, But we aren't trying to find north are we?" Gibbs yells over the weather.

'Doesn't point north....' Strange Delia swore she had heard that before, but where?

"Captain, should we take down the canvas?" I asked to walk closer to him so he could hear me.

He turned the wheel violently against star-born. "She can go down a bit longer?"

"You seem to be in a good mood, for such a state." Gibbs said, trying to make it up to quarterdeck.

"We're Catching Up." Jack said in a dark tone.

It was now complete nightfall and the crew was fast asleep in the sleeping quarters.

But you were never one to sleep. You used to stay up all night learning about pirates because it's the only time you could find. And there was something about the night sky that alway drew you in. Whether it was the moon or the cool air you could never quite tell.

"Late night, Love?" Jack questioned moving close next to you.

"Yeah....." You said dreamily.

"Got something on your mind?"

"Oh no. It's just I have always been drawn to the night, that's all."

"It is quite beautiful." Jack gazed at you.

You turned to face him. "What?" you said with a shy smile.

"Nothing, Love. You've just impressed me, that's all."

"Oh?"

"You have just survived a killer storm, and well you kicked but at Tortuga."

You laughed softly. "Why thank you. I had a good teacher." You nudged him.

He had a questionable look on his face wanting to know more.

"How do you think I knew who you were in the cells?" She looked up at him. "I have read everything there is to read about you, trying to learn about pirates. Which isn't much seeing that piracy isn't looked in a good light in Port Royal. But you are a pirating legend as far as I'm concerned."

Jack smiled bright down at you. "That's the best thing anyone has ever said." Placing his arm around your shoulders pulling you close. "Hey? Where did you get your name? Just wondering cause your Dad was one to always love the meanings behind things."

"Um..... I believe Cordila means: 'daughter of the sea.' which is pretty fitting seeing I've always been drawn to it." You yawned leaning into his side.

"That's loving.

I think you should probably go to sleep sweetheart. I know you love the night, but it's getting late. Savvy?" He said quietly.

"Alright." you rubbed your eyes.

"Come with me."

"But I thou-"

"You're going to sleep in here." He leads you to the Captains Quarters. "The sleeping quarters are probably all wet in the cold. You'll sleep better in here."
