The door creaked open. Y/N invited himself inside with a grocery bag in his hand. Cassie was generous enough to help him buy groceries even if he insisted he'd do it himself.

He walked to the kitchen to drop off the bag when he saw both Evan and Elizabeth finger-painting on the dining table.

The paint was smudged on their faces and their clothes were colourfully stained with grey-ish rainbow. Glitter glue smeared everywhere around the table.

Evan was the first to notice his presence, followed by Elizabeth, whose eyes sparkled in excitement upon seeing her older brother.

"Y/N!" She beckoned him, "Come look at this painting I've been working on."

Y/N limped to her slowly. Elizabeth held out the paper she was working on. It was a painting of a girl with red pigtails in a lovely red dress. She wore a big pearly smile on her face.

He instantly registered it as Circus Baby, one of his father's works.

"I made Circus Baby! Is it good?" She waited for a response.

Elizabeth was one of Circus Baby's biggest fans. It looked like her and was the first girly animatronic ever made, which explained her favouritism towards it. Though, she was never allowed near the animatronic for a particular reason.

"It's great, cute even," Y/N replied, giving a small smile.

She beamed brightly, "I knew you'd like it." She turned to Evan who kept silent and nudge the boy's shoulder. "Do you wanna show yours, Evan?"

Evan was hesitant at first, but gradually made up his mind and nodded, showing him the painting. It was a painting of Fredbear. It wore its significant purple bowtie and hat. It also held a microphone up its hand, imitating a sing-off.

"It's a nice painting. You should do more of these," Y/N commented, trying his best to put more expression in his voice as he didn't want to hurt Evan's feelings.

Evan felt his cheeks flush and shyly mumbled a 'thank you' to him.

"What's that on your nose?" Elizabeth interrogated, pointing at the bloody cloth that was stuck into his nose.

"Oh, this?" Y/N pointed his finger at it, "It's a tissue."

"What happened? Did you trip over something and broke your nose? Did your tooth fall out?" She gasped loudly, "Did you go to the dentist for a check-up!?"

"What? No," Y/N shook his head, "I'm fine. I just took a hard fall, that's all. You should go back to finger-painting or whatever."

Just as he was about to leave, Elizabeth shouted for him to wait. She ran to him with a pink Hello Kitty band-aid in her hand.

"Bend down!" She ordered.

The older Afton sighed heavily and complied, crouching down to her height level. Elizabeth happily placed the band-aid on the bridge of his nose.

"Perfect!" She clapped her hands, holding out a pack of gummy bears. "Now, here are some gummy bears to help with your injury. Take two each day, okay?"

Why did I even listen? Y/N nodded slowly, "..Sure."

Dinner was ready hours later after receiving a lecture from Mrs Sunny about 'being too careless of his safety' which he had to sit through for an entire 15 minutes of listening.

Y/N sat beside Michael and began to dig in quietly. The sounds of metal utensils clanking against the plate and Evan struggling to grab his fork filled his ears.

"Michael, would you please stop teasing your brother and give him his fork?" Mr Afton shot him a stern look. Michael scoffed (although rather quietly to avoid getting disciplined) and finally gave Evan his fork.
