Why does babysitting have to be so hard?

Y/N had warned the timid Evan not to wander off anywhere or near the animatronics while he was busy in the lavatory. Leaving the kid alone was a huge mistake, and now he has to search the whole diner for Evan or else he'd be in big trouble again.

"Evan!?" He yelled, frantically looking in the rooms for him but to no avail.

What if he followed a strange man or went near those animatronics? No, I told Michael to keep watch over him while I was gone.

Wait, where the fuck is Michael then!?

"Evan! Michael!?" He shouted again as he rushed through the halls, ignoring a few weird looks he's received from other children and adults.

Oh, you are so dead meat, Michael.

He seemed to become more desperate as time passes. He felt his heart pound rapidly as he examined the appearances of every child, hoping it was Evan.

Again, nothing. Y/N felt as if he was about to have a panic attack.

A group of laughing teenagers wearing animal masks caught his attention. His eyes widened upon laying his eyes on a certain fox-masked boy, Michael!

"MIKE!" He exclaimed.

Michael flinched in surprise and turned around. "What is it?" The boy said, showing minimal interest.

"Don't 'what is it' you little- Where's Evan?!" Y/N snapped, trembling a little from the stress he was experiencing.

The joyous laughs of children were drowned out by his screaming which earned him a few terrified looks from them. The other three friends stopped cackling.

Michael didn't answer. Y/N was about to reprimand him when suddenly, a few sobs were heard inside a door.

Y/N hurriedly pushed past his brother and swung the door open. Shock filled his face when he saw Evan embracing his frail body on the floor, eyes bloodshot from all the excessive crying.

"E.. Evan?" He called out, this time rather calmly to avoid hurting the younger Afton's ears.

Evan sniffled. Y/N carefully helped the young boy up, ignoring the spare animatronic parts on the shelves that were freaking him out a little.

"Are you okay? You're not hurt, aren't you." He checked everywhere for any signs of injury. None were found to his relief. "Thank god," He said, scowling at Michael.

Evan stood closer to him for comfort as Y/N started reprimanding the older Afton.

"It's funny. Just look at the look on his face," Michael eyed the intimidated child behind Y/N and snickered. "Such a crybaby." He laughed.

Evan stammered, "I- I... I'm not-"

"Speak properly, you idiot! If you're gonna say something, speak clearly!" Michael spat at his face. Evan shrieked and became noticeably teary-eyed again, cowering behind Y/N.

"Dude, what is wrong with you!?" Y/N bellowed, slithering an arm behind Evan to comfort him.

"What? He's fucking annoying! He always cries, and he knows he gets everything he wants!" Michael argued. Jeremy held him back in case he gets physically violent, repeatedly whispering to him to calm down.

"He's a kid, you moron!" Y/N quarrelled.

Evan winced at the loud sounds and quickly covered his ears.

"Ay ay, watch your language you two," Jeremy interjected between the two.

"You're not my father!" Both of the older Aftons said at the same time before continuously glaring at each other again. Y/N twitched an eye as Michael squinted his eyes.
