3 weeks later, Aftons' House

"Wake up! Y/N, Wake up!"

The tired boy woke up in a complete daze. He blinked several times, eyeing the ginger-haired girl in front of him. "Huh... what?"

"Daddy's taking us to Circus Baby's Pizza World today!" Elizabeth exclaimed. He winced in pain from her loud voice, covering his ears with a blanket.

"That's great to hear." He blankly said, slumping back to his deep sleeping slumber.

Elizabeth wasn't too happy about his response and started shaking his body. "Ugh, you promised you'd let me go see Circus Baby!" She groaned in annoyance.

"Just give me 5 more minutes." He told, turning away from her.

Elizabeth huffed, trying (or struggling, if you'd like to put it that way) to pull him out of bed. "We're- going to be- late!" She panted. Her numerous failed attempts made Y/N snicker a little, eventually making him sit up.

"Fine, jeez. Get out of my room. I need to wear clothes," He waved her off.

Closing the door shut with Elizabeth out of the room, he threw in his usual outfit and went into the bathroom. He stared at himself in the mirror as he splashed cold water on his face; rubbing it with a clean towel afterwards.

Another day to spend away, woo, He thought to himself, subtly smiling at his reflection.

Walking out, he saw Michael amble along the hallway, wearing the same unsettling fox mask back at the park. Y/N found it quite funny how he'd wear it almost everywhere outside; school, diner, park, definitely not the bathroom. Y/N would often see lots of people making weird looks at Michael and his friend group and occasionally whispering behind their backs.

It was a bit cruel not informing him about the things he didn't take notice of - But oh well, I'll let him figure it out alone. Y/N snickered.

"What are you laughing at." Michael glared.

Y/N looked away from his brother's direction, fishing his hands in his pockets. "Nothing. Your mask just looks funny."

Michael rolled his eyes, "I- It isn't. It's supposed to be intimidating." He protested, "Plus, I've scared away a bunch of kids with this. You can't tell me otherwise."

"You mean you've made people feel weirded out and distance themselves from you? Talk about reputation." Y/N 'corrected' his sentence, continuing down the flight of stairs.

Michael held no reaction whatsoever, "Meh, I care less of what others think."

"Well, suit yourself." Y/N hurried past his brother and exited through the front door. Waving cheerfully to his elder neighbours across the road, the Afton made his way over to the car where his younger siblings were in.

"Come on! Gosh, you're so slow." Elizabeth exclaimed impatiently.

Y/N climbed into the backseat, the underlying fresh aroma of strawberries breezed around which overtook the reeking smell of the car engine completely.

Elizabeth scooted closer to him, leaving Evan fidgeting with his small hands awkwardly.

"I can't wait. I'm finally gonna see her!" Elizabeth whispered as her breath quickened, shaking her hands aggressively in celebration. The fact that she's going to visit the diner to see Circus Baby performing on stage made the girl thrilled.

"Somebody's excited today." Y/N smiled at his sister's ecstatic demeanour.

"Of course I am, this is the best day of my life!" Elizabeth slumped against the seat with her arms in the air.
