"Alison" I hear someone say to me. I open my eyes and am faced with Isaacs beautiful blue eyes. I smile.
"Hey." I say and stretch my arms out.
"Morning, uh, we have a pack meeting and they want to introduce the new pack member." he says, looking a little scared. I nod and get out of bed. He takes my hand but I pull it away. He looks hurt.
"Sorry, I'm still getting used to this whole mate thing. Back in the human world, well, let's just say there isn't really any mates or destined lovers." I say looking at the ground walking with Isaac. He just nods at my statement.
We walk into a large room filled with about 4 people. This must be the pack.
"Are werewolf packs big or small?" I ask Isaac as we sit at a table.
"The minimum is about 3 people at the moment and the biggest is like 50 so we have quite a small pack." He states with a small smile. I hear the doors open and I look to my right and see the man who was looking through my door yesterday, the alpha. My breath hitches and Isaac notices. He puts his hand on mine and I feel calm. A small blush creeping onto my cheeks.
"Alright, I only brought you here because I wanted to introduce the new member of our pack. Alison." The alpha says, I look up when I hear my name. The alpha gestures for me to stand up in front of everyone. Isaac lets go of my hand, I look at him and he nods. I walk up to where the alpha is standing and start to feel scared and anxious. I look at the alpha and he smirks.
"Who are you?" I ask him. Looking at him, still frightened.
"I'm your alpha, Ian. Don't worry dear, you're safe here." He whispers the last bit in my ear. Shivers of fear roll down my spine. I look at the people in the pack and I recognise two people. My eyes widen once I realise who they are.
They're my two best friends... Alexa and Arden.
"Alexa? Arden? What are you doing here?" I question them as I walk to where they are sitting.
"That's a long story." Alexia says and Arden nods.
"Well I have time." I say looking at them and smile. I engulf them in a hug and they hug me back. I haven't seen these guys in weeks... Oh... I probably haven't seen them because they're too busy being werewolves.
I pull apart and look at them.
"Is the reason we haven't seen each other in so long because you got bitten?" I ask them. They shake their heads, no.
"Actually we were born this way, but the pack needed us more in the past few weeks." Arden explains. It all makes sense now. Randomly, all the time, they would just take of for a week and say that they had a camping trip. I always wondered why I was never invited, but now I know why.
"Alison." I hear from behind me. I turn around and see Isaac looking at me. "I see you've met Alexa and Arden." He says stepping closer.
"Actually, we've been best friends since kindergarten." I smile. He smiles back.
"I know. Remember that I can read your mind." He says and I laugh.
Alison, come here.
I hear a strange voice call my name.
Alison, come here.
I hear it again. Suddenly I can't feel my body, nor can I see. I look ahead and see a tall figure but all I can see is its shadow.
"Alison are you alright?" Isaacs worried voice shakes me back into reality.
What was that?
