Chapter 3

The sound of the sticks and leaves crunching beneath my bear feet, slightly comforts me as I wonder through the dark woods, searching for something. Someone. I still don't know what, or who I'm looking for. But all I know is I have to find it.

Ali, this way.

A voice tells me, but I don't listen.

Ali, come here now.

The voice says, but this time with more aggression

I hear a high pitched scream coming from my left. I feel a slight tug on my arm, but no one is pulling me. I see myself coming closer to where the scream came from. The pulling on my arm stops and I am dropped onto the ground. I look around and see an unfamiliar person with her claws against Isaac's throat. I walk towards him, but something invisible blocks me from walking any further. I hear sticks being crushed and I look to my right to see my best friends, Alexa and Arden, walking towards me. Both of them kneeling down in front of me.

"Let's make a deal ." The woman says and I look at her with a confused look.

"What deal?" I say.

"If you kill your best friends, I'll let your lover go. But if you don't then I'll rip his throat out." She says as she slightly digs her claws into Isaac's neck. He whimpers and I feel strengthless. When Isaac's in pain like this I can't bear it. I try blinking away the pain, but it doesn't work. I open my eyes and realise what I must do.

"I'm sorry." I whisper as a tear runs down my cheek. I bring my claws to my friends necks and...

Ali.

Ali, wake up.

I open my eyes to see my best friends lying by my bed, with a concerned look on their face. I touch my face and feel tears streaming from my eyes. What a nightmare that was.

"Oh thank god." I say with a sigh of relieve. I pull my friends in for a hug. "I nearly killed you guys." I say as another tear rolls down my face.

I turn to my right and see Isaac staring at me.

"Please tell me you didn't see that." I say revering to my dream. Nightmare is more like it actually.

"Then I won't tell you." He says. Damn it. He saw it.

"So you can see what I dream as well?" I state but say it as a question. He nods.

"Only when I'm awake though." He states.

"How long were you awake for?" I ask. He sighs.

"You know it really doesn't matter." He says as he stares out the window.

"Isaac, just tell me." I say, slightly irritated he wouldn't answer my question. He looks at the ground then at me.

"I've been awake since this." He says and lifts up the side of his shirt to reveal cuts all the way from his pecs to his hip. I gasp and look at my fingers to see my claws extended. A tear runs down my cheek.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry. I really didn't mean to hurt you." I say with another tear rolling down.

"Shhh, it's okay. It didn't hurt." He states as he wraps his arms around me.

"Really?" I ask looking into his eyes. He nods and wipes away my tears. I sigh of relief and smile a bit.

"Can I see it again?" I ask him and he lifts up his shirt. I trace my fingers around the edge of the cuts and as soon as I touch them, they heal completely.

I gasp and then smile. Must be a 'mate' thing. I really need to get used to this. I am taken away from my thoughts when I hear Isaac gasp as well. Looking at his non existent cuts in shock.

"How did you do that?" He says, still in shock. I look at him confused. I guess it's not a mate thing.

"I-I just assumed it was a mate thing." I say. He shakes his head.

"Not in human form. Mates can only heal each other when they are in wolf form, and even then it takes a long time to completely heal." He says looking into my eyes.

"Maybe it's my power. You said every bitten werewolf has a power, so maybe healing is mine." I say.

"Yeh, you're probably right." He says, with his eyebrows furrowed together. Something is up with him, I'll find out sooner or later. I nod and walk to the shower.

For some reason I feel like this is going to be a really long day...
