This "darkness" or what people call it, started for May at a young age. As you can see, May's parents aren't the best people, nor were they good parents. See, May's father was an alcoholic who had nothing to do after his military service and her mother was always too busy working.
May had a lot of responsibilities at a young age. She was only 7 yet had to take care of her 2 siblings, who were 5 and 3. But then again, her father would drink and not do anything except make his kids live in fear, while her mother had no time to spend with the kids. She also had school so she never got the time to do homework because of her responsibilities in the house. What May didn't expect was that this would start something way worse when she kept getting older.
Even though she had to take care of her younger siblings, she would have to deal with her father too. Her father would lash out on her when he got pissed at the littlest things. Of course, May never liked going through that but she thought it would be better for her to get hit rather than her siblings. The only family she had. May grew up with broken parents, her parents were just strangers, she had no close relationship with them. But because of that, she grew up broken too.
