kei was quick to stop talking. this unexpected shyness he displayed startled himself.

"follow me. don't talk to anyone no matter how much you get questioned."

tobio watched the prince nod, taking it as a que to start walking.

many voices filled kei's consciousness; reminding him of the party he'd been trapped in only so long ago.

"don't look at them either. look down."

"you've been ordering me around a lot. why can't i speak to anyone? let alone look at anyone?"

"y'know what? for someone who practically begged me to take you with me, you're really mouthy."

"so what?!"

"i can take your happy ass back to the castle and even get reward money for it, is what this is. you'll either shut up and follow me or be kept somewhere until i know i can cash a prize. got it?"

tobio turned around silently, leading them into a small tent-like residence where an orange haired male seemed to be waiting.

"that was a little harsh. don't you think?"

"shut up."

"yeah ok idiot."

"thin ice."

"i love you too darling—"

the door slammed. kei's eyes averting to the short unnamed man.

"hi!"

"hello?"

"call me hinata. or shoyo. my names hinata shoyo."

he smiled brightly, most people would have to force such a smile but it came naturally for him.

"my names tsukishima—"

"kei, i know."

shoyo walked up to kei, handing the taller a pile of clothing.

"this should fit nicely. if it doesn't call me over. make sure you put the bracelet in the pocket of the shirt on. understand?"

"yeah."

"good."

the bright man turned away, calling out to other people kei hadn't met yet.

"you don't look half bad."

"is that an insult or a compliment?"

tobio stood up smiling, calling out to everyone in the building.

"meet kei! he'll be joining us, someone find him a workspace by the next move!"

an orchestra of cheers followed, confusing kei further.

"what did you mean next move?"

"do you really think we—"

"tobio."

"yes tadashi?"

"main needs help with mapping."

"on it."

briefly conversating before leaving, they gave each other a familiar look and silently parted ways.

"you're taller than i thought you'd be."

"thank you?"

"i'm yamaguchi tadashi, call me whatever you want."

"alright, and about the whole next move thing.. what's that about?"

"tobio didn't tell you what we were?"

tadashi looked at kei in disbelief.

"we're all runaways.. of royalty. we can't stay in one place for long."

"royalty?"

"we all got here the same way, think about it."
