"Lulu!"
A sudden force collided into Lulus back. Quickly putting her foot out, she managed to regain her balance. The same couldn't be said for the girl who slid off the others back, falling face first into the sand.
"Oh my! Are you alright?" Exclaimed Lulu in surprise.
Grabbing the shorter girl by the shoulders, Lulu lifted her off the ground and onto her feet. Keres then began to brush the sand off her clothes. Lulu noticed the large amount of sand particles in the others hair.
"Kiki, you got some sand over here." She took a half step forward before dusting off the sand from the head belonging to the girl in front of her.
"Sorry about that, I was just so excited!"
Lulu let out a chortle at the girls eagerness for the staycation. She picked up any of the bags that were dropped, dusted them off, and began walking back towards her cabin. Keres skipped beside Lulu as the two of them made their way in a peaceful silence.
"I've only been at your house once but I can't tell you how much I love the simple design of it. It doesn't even look that big from the outside but on the inside- its just- wow" Keres remarked in adoration.
"My twin designed it herself. She's not much of an architect but she likes working things to their full potential"
They had reached the wooden cabin at that point. Lulu shuffled the bags awkwardly in her hands before handing one back to Keres. She pulled the house keys out of her pockets and unlocked the door blocking their way. Keres pulled the handle, opening the door for the two of them, and they walked in.
"You have a sister?" Keres questioned in curiosity.
"Ah- well. Its a bit more complicated than that. ANYWAY, its a topic for another time..." Lulu answered, scolding herself for stammering.
Keres spun around, admiring the place in awe. Lulu grin widened at this, second time Kiki had been here and she's still enamored.
"I'll show you where you will be staying" Lulu then started walking up the spiral stairs, Keres following shortly behind. When she reached the landing, her expression contorted into a mix of confusion and fascination.
"Lulu..." she let out quietly, eyes still wide. "your bed is- is AN ALASKAN KINGSIZE?"
"Uh, yeah. I like sleeping in the middle but on a double bed your head is inbetween the pillows. I just prefer the comfort."
"This could literally fit three people! How much did this cost and how did you get it up that small spiral staircase?!" Keres questioned.
"For your first question: too much. For the second: you don't even want to know..."
"Very ominous" Keres commented while staring at the ludicrous bed. "Moving on, whats the sleeping situation?"
"You take the bed. I take the couch."
"N-"
"You slept on the couch last time, you know how cushiony it is. I sleep on my bed all the time so for once I won't. No buts"
Keres shut her mouth from attempting a rebuttal of any kind and instead took to gazing around the room. That is when she noticed a railing instead of a wall. Looking over the wooden railing was the view of the living room.
"That's cool! I can watch you sleep from here"
A small "please don't" was mumbled from Lulu. The two people kept solid eye contact for a full minute before bursting into hysterical laughter. Keres slid down the railing and onto the floor, holding her sides. Meanwhile Lulu was holding onto the wall while wiping tears from her eyes.
"Hyah...." Lulu let out, slightly out of breath.
"heheHEHEHEhehe" Keres giggled intensely.
Straightening her hunched form Lulu idled down the stairs and into the kitchen. She grabbed a glass of water and spun around to find Keres leaning against a chair, a wide grin still displayed on her face.
"Now that you're here let's get to talking about what we are going to do over the next couple of da-"
"OH, I heard the funfair is opening tomorrow! We should totally go! And and-"
And so Lulu listened to the overly hyper girl ramble on about everything she wanted to do. A small frown formed on her face but she quickly replaced it with a smile. It doesn't matter if she spent an hour doing up a timetabke of what they could do, what mattered was spending time with Keres....
