Trying hard to feel what it's like to be alive
There's a whole world out there,
and yet I'm confined to the one in my mindDrowning in tidal waves of thoughts, tears, and fears
Like being back in high school
Trapped in a bathroom stall with every vile thought bouncing from wall to wall
Presuming that hiding my emotions would make me feel less of themI couldn't have been more wrong
Let them out for they will get trapped
They will mark their territory and take their reign
They will taint your soul
They will wear you down
and build up walls
Add a lock for decoration
Then throw away the key
Learn from me
Your soul will be theirs to keep
