English was by far Kaminari's favorite language out of every language he learned from his time with them, it brought him comfort, to be able to speak another language know by many people in the world, it made him feel connected to them, it made him feel less alone. That's why he enjoyed learning a new language every day, thinking about how many people he could understand and talk to, and maybe one day become their friend. He knew at the time it would be impossible to make friends. But a kid could hope.

Today we have English classes with Present Mic. Though he was still a little out of it from when Bakugou came back. So things were bound to happen. "Hello little listeners, so today we have a surprise test." A collective of groans can be heard float out of their mouths. "Hey!, what's with the groaning, there's no need for that because the test has a twist, we have been learning how to write and read another language, but we haven't gotten to the part were we actually speak English, so the test for today is one by one, I will start talking to you, and whoever can hold a conversation with me for the longest, will get perfect scores regardless for their next English exam!" 

Everyone around the room grew more excited by the second at the idea of getting a perfect score for their next English exam, all accept one student, who seemed to be spaced out and, having no clue of what is happening. "I will be generous today and allow you for ten minutes to look through your English notes before we start, so go own get going little listeners!". That's when everyone started rushing, flicking through their books at lightning speed, trying to get as much prep time as possible. Kaminari going with the flow as if his body was on autopilot.

10 minutes later, everyone still trying to cram in every piece of information they have, they timer went off. "Alright little listeners, times up, pack your stuff away and get prepared for your test, first up, Mineta how are you doing today, feeling alright, you look a little sweaty". Exclaimed our teacher, that's when they realized, that this test was harder than they thought.

Almost everyone was done now, the person who could speak the longest in english was Momo, with a time of 15 minutes, the only person who hasn't gone yet was kaminari, but they already knew that Momo would keep the highest score, they all new kaminari is not good with his English speaking. Oh how wrong they are. "kaminari, how are you doing today, you feeling good?" Mic-sensei started off. Because kaminari had been spaced out through this entire lesson, he acted on his autopilot mode, thus resulting into speaking in the language you are spoken to. Meaning his response back to Present Mic was in perfect and clear English, surprising everyone in the room by has come back. "Yeah, i'm feeling fine, what about you, teaching students all day must be very tiring". This kept on going for about twenty inutes long, it would have been longer if it weren't for the bell signalling the start of lunch. "Oh, lunch started, well bye Mic-sensei, that was a very fun talk". 

But before he could get going, he was bombarded with a round of questions flying towards him every second. "Hah! how did you talk in english so well, you never do well in English pikachu". Bakugou yelled out to him over all the other comments made in the room. This caused Kaminari to come back to reality, confused about what bakugou stated. "What do you mean bakugou, wasn't I speaking japanese then". This caused many people in the classroom have mixed expressions, some with confused faces, some with utterly baffled faces, and some with stilled faces, questioning what they just heard. Then out of nowhere Present Mic starts talking. "Kaminari, you just spoke English with me for the test, and you get the highest score". "Yeah and I even got it on video". Mina stated as she past her phone to Kaminari.

Kaminari snatched the phone right out of mina's hand, playing the vidoe from the start, his faced formed from confusion, to outward shocked as the vidoe kept playing. He paused it, looking up at everyone, ready to explain. "Look, I can explain". "Well you better because theres no way you go from horrible at english to a master at it". Bakugou shouted, staring daggers into the poor boy. "Jeez, Im getting to it, so anyway, well, I've always known english, I used to live in america for a while, my family travelled a lot, im just not very good at comprehending English words as well and also writing it. So thats why I've always failed my English tests". 

A beat of silence is followed out for a while until mina starts talking again. "Dude, how come you never told us!" She whined to her close friend. "Well, none of you asked, I didn't think it was needed to be said." Even though I have spent my entire life learning how to the perfect spawn for them, mastering the art of decieving people, I still found it pretty hard to come up with the next thing to say. If this was a mission I would have no problem lying to someone, but this is different. Lying to my friends is a lot harder when I have known and though of them as family ever since I joined UA. 

Even though I had a confident posture, Bakugou still somehow was able to see though my lies. "That's bullshit, something as important as living in america for some of your life is not something you would keep to yourself. It's one of those things you would want to brag about." He's right the Kaminari they know would have braged straight away that he likved in America for a bit and could speak english way better than anybody else in 1a. So I quikly came up with a lie. "The only reason I even moved back to Japan was because my parents divorced, speaking english is just a constant remider of their stupid fight, so can we please just leave this olone right know." I made sure to sound a little pissed of so they could got of my back. I just hate lying to them but I can't risk them finding out. 

" Aww, Kamibro we're sorry about bringing up a sore subject, right bakubro." He only replied with a,"tch." Thank god they bought that story. It wouldhave been a long night if they didnt. Bakugou still glared at me but slowly got over it. "It's alrigth Kiri, I really would like to just move on lets go eat lunch now." most of 1a had left the classroom and started eating lunch. Honestly I'm really glad we didnt have mr Aziawa as my english teacher, if he was he would have started to question.

'Man, I am so lucky today' were kamanari's final thoughts as he was packed and ready to leave in an instance.
