F4 - Canning & Kavin

Chapter 3

"Miss. Canning? Please come in." Canning stood and went inside. She sat in front of the doctor and tapped her feet nervously.

"Miss. Canning, congratulations you are 4 weeks pregnant." The doctor said with a smile.

"Pre...pregnant?" The doctor nodded at her in response.

"I...I am going be a mom." Canning touched her stomach with tears running down her cheeks.

She went home but her happiness disappeared when she saw her parents. She is happy to be a mom but she never thought to disappoint her parents. She knows that she needs to do something so her parents won't be disappointed in her. She went to her room and after thinking for a while she dialed a number.

"Hello? I need your help." She spoke to someone. After speaking to that person she came to her parents who were doing some work in the main hall.

"Mom! Dad! I have something to tell you." Canning brought them together.

"I have decided to apply for a scholarship abroad. Can I go if I get the scholarship?" Her parents smiled at her decision, they know that Canning is a hard-working girl. After discussing for a while, it's decided to let her study if she gets the scholarship. They decided to let her do something she want to for her future.

Canning was happy and sad at the same time. She was happy that she can hide the baby for a while but she is sad that she might be disappointed in the future. A few weeks passed just like that Canning got her scholarship.

On the other hand, Kavin finds it very uncomfortable as it's been 2 months since Canning spoke to him. Canning tried very hard to avoid him. Every day he comes near her working place due to which she stopped working. When he went near her school she pretended to not see him and left.

At last, after two months he got a chance to meet her when Canning invited everyone to a party. Kavin spent more time than he usually does to get ready. And still, he did not know that this was love. When he entered the club his eyes were searching for her but he didnt find her. He finds Thyme and Gorya. When he was about to ask about Canning.

"There they are. You are late Canning." Gorya's words draw the attention of Kavin.

He saw Canning, who is in her simple sky-blue skirt and white shirt. He is very happy to see her after so many days but his happiness didn't last for too long when he saw her holding MJ's elbow.

"Sorry, but it's MJ's fault. He said he will pick me up at the last minute." She said throwing a glare at MJ, who sat next to Ren.

"Oh please, it's because of traffic." MJ gave his excuse. Ren was observing Kavin.

"You could have called me, I would pick you up," Kavin said which made MJ and Ren smile at each other.

"Does it matter I am here anyways." Hearing her Kavin felt uncomfortable. They enjoyed their time together.

"Guys, I have something to tell you." Canning got their attention.

"Dont tells me you are getting married too, are you?" MJ became silent seeing how serious Canning was looking.

"Well no I applied for a scholarship abroad for further studies. And I got my scholarship." Her words were like a bomb.

"Are you serious?" Canning nodded to Gorya.

"Why all of a sudden?" Ren asked.

"Well, it was planned a few months before and I was waiting for my scholarship. I will be leaving in three days. That's why I am giving a party." She smiled at it was not a serious matter.

"Why all of a sudden?" Kavin asked. Canning looked at him.

"Not suddenly but it is important for my future. And I don't like playing with my future." Hearing her words everyone understood that she was leaving because of Kavin. Hearing her words Kavin left angrily.

After some time all of the left for their house. Kavin who left from there didn't return—three days passed just like that. Thyme, Gorya, Ren, and MJ went to the airport to give her a proper sendoff.

"So will you tell me which country you are going to?" Gorya asked. Canning shook her head rejecting her.

"At least tell us when you will return?" MJ asked.

"Well until I can earn some money, I think?" It was more like a question to herself.

"I think it's time for you guys to leave." Canning shushed them. She kept her smile till she enters the airport. She waited in the waiting room for the flight announcement. After some time she borders the plane.

"I don't think I will return," Canning whispered looking into the clouds.

Kavin just stood outside of the airport. MJ and Ren saw him and looked at each other.

"Kavin you are late. I think Canning already left." MJ said patting his shoulder.

"Where did she go?" Kavin spoke after a long pause.

"She didnt tell us. Or maybe she dont want us to know?" Gorya said. Thyme patted Kavin's shoulder and left from there with Gorya. Ren and MJ took him to their playhouse. After having a few drinks Ren breaks the silence.

"You shouldn't have played with her feelings!" Ren said and MJ nodded.

"When did I play with her feelings?" Kavin looked at him blankly.

"Seriously?" MJ scoffed. He felt his patience running out.

"Bro, we all know that Canning is in love with you. Didn't you feel it?" Ren spoke a little louder.

"Sh...she lo...loves me?" Kavin became alert after hearing from Ren.

"Really? You never felt her love for you? Dude, we all could tell you that she loves you. Why didn't you feel it?" MJ stood up and shook Kavin with his shoulders. All the flashes came into his mind at once. The way she smiles at him, the way she blushes for him, the way she looks at him.

"How did I never see that she loves me? I thought she was just attracted to me. Why didnt I think of this before?" Kavin collapsed to his knees.

"Finally! He realized that she loves him." MJ sat on the couch and sipped his drink.

"But Kavin, the point is what you feel for her. Now you know that she loves you, but what do you feel?" Ren kneeled in front of him and asked.

"I...I...I dont know what I feel!" Kavin's reply made both Ren and MJ feel pity for him in that situation.

"Then let's play a rapid-fire?" Thyme said entering the room.

"You came!" MJ stated as Thyme said beside him after pouring himself a drink.

"Why wouldn't I when he needs our help?" They laughed looking at each other.

"So, how do you feel when she is not there near you?" Thyme asked.

"Restless" Kavin answered.

"Good. Then how do you feel when she is with you?" MJ asked.

"I feel happy and I feel complete." He replied with a smile thinking about her.

"How do you feel when she is close to some other man?" Ren asked showing his smirk at MJ, who just smile remembering the dance at Thyme's wedding.

"I dont know, I feel like snatching her and hiding her from every man," Kavin said glaring at MJ, who just raised his hands in surrender.

"Kavin, now close your eyes and try to feel the person close to your heart and see who it is," Thyme said. Kavin followed his words. All he could see or feel was the time he spent with Canning and her face. No other thing.

"I love her. I am in love with Canning. I LOVE HER." Kavin looked at his friends who kneeled in front of him and shouted.

"Finally! You know your answer." They turned towards the door only to see Gorya smiling at him. They hugged each other.

"Do we know where did she go?"Thyme's question made their happiness gloomy. All looked at each other's faces.

"I think you still have me?" MJ pointed to himself. Kavin jumped on him.
