Chapter 5

Canning and Lita took care of everything that needed to settled in Australia. Ren also helped with Jack and Jessica's school paperwork. They all returned to their hometown after 5 years. Lita and Ren went to his house and Canning went to hers with the kids.

"Mom! Dad!" "Grandma!" Canning shouted from the door. Canning's mom rushed there and got shocked to see her daughter and her kids after 5 years. She was angry that Canning had made a mistake. But when she saw those little twins during the video call she teared up and instantly fell in love with them.

"Oh my god! My babies!" They ran to their grandma and hugged her. She showed them with her love and kisses.

"Where is Dad, Mom?" Canning asked as they all came into the living room.

"He went to the office. Come I'll take you to your room. I have already changed your bed into a double bed." saying that she took them to Canning's room. After Canning started working and sent them some money they shifted to a small villa.

"You guys can fresh up and come down. I'll make you guys something to eat." Canning's mom said and left downstairs.

Canning's dad came in the evening. He didn't think that his grandchildren would come this soon.

"Hi, Dad, Jess, Jack! Great your grandpa." Canning said pushing them in front of them.

"Hello, Grandpa." Jessica and Jack treated their grandfather and hid behind their mother. Canning's dad just nodded at them.

"Canning I need to speak to you about something. Let's go to my study room." Saying that he had left for his study room.

"Jess! Jack! Be good and don't make trouble for your grandma." They both nodded and ran to the kitchen to help their grandma.

"Dad! What do you want to talk about?" Canning asked in a low voice. He turned around and slapped her. Canning just stood still to process what just happened. Tears started rolling her cheeks.

"5 years! You hide them from us for 5 years. You could have said us about them. We would have supported you and them. Why did you hide and bared the pain for all these years?" Canning's father shouted.

"I...I am sorry Dad. I didn't know what to do and don't want to bring you any shame, Dad. That's why I left. I am sorry Dad." Canning fell on her knees ad cried. She never wanted to bring him any shame.

"But you went through a lot during these 5 years. You were all alone by yourself. Just like you were my daughter, they were my grandchildren. They are a part of you dear. I would have supported you in any situation." They both hugged each other and spoke for a few hours. They talked about all these years they had missed together.

A week passed just like that. Lita and Canning need to join their work. There is a collaboration with one company due to a project.

"Seriously! Lita at least give me some details about the company we are collaborating with?" Canning asked for the nth time.

"No Canning. I don't have time for this again. I gave all the information about the project we will be working on. Now go to my cabin and get the file and come to the conference room directly." Lita was so tense and avoided all the questions of Canning.

"Fine. I will be with you in the conference room then I will find out about this company we will work with, okay?" Canning huffed and left for Lita's cabin.

"That's the problem babe. I am thinking about the consequences after you enter the conference room." Lita took a breath and left for the conference room.

Canning searched for the files about the project. She arranged the files and huffed going to the conference room. Knocking on the door she entered the room with a smile.

"Sorry for the late. Here is the file." She handed the file to Lita and took a seat next to her.

"So where are our clients?" Canning asked.

"They will be here at any moment," Lita said drinking water from her glass.

"Why are you so nervous? It's not the first time we are working on such projects. So relax." Listening to Canning Lita gave her a nervous smile.

'It's not the first time we work on this type of project. But it's the first time you meeting him after so many years." Lita thought in her mind. The knock on the door disturbed her thoughts.

"Ma'am they're here." Lita's secretary opened the door and the clients entered the room. Before she could say a word four people entered the room.

Thyme, MJ, Ren, and Kavin entered the room. Lita held their breath because she don't know how Canning will react.

Ren on the other hand was also thinking about Canning's reaction from the start.

"Canning?" MJ, Thyme, and Kavin called her at the same time.

Canning who saw Kavin after so many years sharply turned to Lita, who was giving a puppy expression to her. Canning close her eyes and took a deep breath. She turned to them.

"Hey, guys! How are you all?" Canning smiled at them waving her hand a little.

"Canning!" MJ runs and hugs her tightly. Canning smiled and hugged him back.

"Girl! Where were you till now?" Thyme came close and gave her a side hug.

"I was with Lita all these years." She replied. Kavin who was stoned in his place came back to his senses and walked forward.

"What? Lita, you didn't even say anything about this." MJ knocked on Lita's head.

"Ahh, why are you angry with me alone? Ren was visiting continuously to our company all these years. He also knows that she is with me for the past 5 years." Saying that Lita hugs Canning from behind when Ren was about to scold her for revealing his secret.

"Oh, so you knew all these years?" "Why didn't you tell us anything when you know from the bringing?" MJ and Thyme yelled at a time.

"You wait I will ask Gorya to come here," Thyme said and made a call to Gorya. MJ stopped Lita and Ren from interfering with Thyme.

"Why didn't you contact us all these years?" Kavin who was silent till now spoke suddenly and asked standing in front of her.

Canning looked at Kavin with a cold expression. Lita and Ren observed her keenly. They know that she may look cold but she is masking her emotion just like this for the past few years.

"Enough of the personal talk. Lita, I think we should get done with the work, or else I can go and do my work." Canning looked at Lita ignoring Kavin's question and also the guys.

"Yeah, let us get done with the meeting first, rest we can talk after work, okay? " Lita said easing the atmosphere.

All took their seats and the meeting began. When they were in the middle of the meeting the door burst open gaining everyone's attention.

"Where is she?" Gorya rushed into the conference room and looked at the two ladies.

"Canning! You..." Gorya was about to say something but was stooped by Canning.

"Excuse me we are having a meeting with our clients. I request you to wait outside." Canning looked at Gorya coldly.

Canning's behavior shocked everyone except Lita and Ren. They also experienced her behaviors like this when they intruded on her meetings with her clients. Looking at her coldness Gorya just nodded her head and left the room.

"You...Fine, I will..." Gorya was about to say something. Ren and Lita closed their eyes thinking about Canning's reaction.

"Let's continue." Canning's reply was enough for everyone to continue with their meeting.

Gorya left the room and stood outside for 15 mins more. All came out of the meeting room.
