The Multiple Realms Theory

The title of this collection, "Eternal Fever Dream of the Multiple Realms Theory ~ The Eternal Fever Dream", means quite a bit to Eternal Fever Dream as a whole.

There's this Dr. Latency, a professor majoring in psychology, who worked with another professor who majored in quantum physics for many years. Latency claimed to be able to travel through time and between various realms, but not at will. They usually did this during their dreams.
As such, they originally assumed this was a psychological matter relating to the unconscious mind-- there's no such thing as other realms or dimensions, right? The unconscious mind creates strange things that stem from trauma and deep-rooted beliefs. Their partner admits that there isn't much known about the reality of how or where this world exists and if there are others.

So, together with the quantum physicist, the two formed a theory partially to test this lack of insight, appropriately named the Multiple Realms Theory. This theory states that there are other universes beyond this one, and within all universes, there are pockets where the structure of matter fails and the space affected is a completely different place altogether.
The two of them were quickly assumed to be crazy, as such a thing seems nearly impossible, and their theory was seen as false by the entire scientific community.
However, like the physicist stated, there really isn't much known about the reality of how or where this world exists and if there are others. So, their theory could be completely true, but no one regards it as such.

There's someone who actively follows the work of Latency, and believes their theory has a lot of credit, and may even be true. Her name is Mona Sweeney, a highschool student interested in pursuing physics.

Now, it's abundantly clear that this Multiple Realms Theory is referring to the many realms that exist in the world of Eternal Fever Dream, as there are several different realms with strange properties like the Non-Corporeal Realm, the Plane of Liminality, and the Dream World. Perhaps Latency travelled to one of these realms in their sleep, and that's what the theory is describing.
