Note: The events that transpire during this arc do not occur in the official timeline of EFD.
In a timeline where these events do occur, the Black Jewel and Ningyou Fantasy Band arcs do not happen. This could have been where our story ends-- in a cyberpunk world with mere remnants of the past.
Please take this into consideration.---

Trivia
- This is one of two arcs that are not inspired by a game, the other being Eastern Dream Castle.
- This is one of two instances of a real-life location as of now (4/29/22). The vast majority of this arc takes place in Shibuya, Tokyo.
- Dyzi's leitmotif is from Super Mario Land, being the tune that plays when Mario meets Daisy after defeating a boss. By extension, it's also the main level theme from the same game.
- Flower symbolism from Saigyou's Poem of a Flower Field returns in this arc, surprisingly. (Niitsu = speedwell, Kikumo = red chrysanthemum, Dyzi = lily-of-the-valley, Jigoko = black tulip, Reisen = red skyrocket, Sanae = delphinium, and Honoka = marigold)
- Sanae Kyuukabu was named after the current voice provider (Sanae Suzaki) for Boos and Spikes in the Mario series. She is the only character to be named after a real person.
- The hotel Reisen and Sanae stay in for the duration of the arc is a real hotel, called Park Hyatt Tokyo. The room they stay in is also a real suite in said hotel, a twin diplomat suite.
- Niitsu and Kikumo's dynamic takes inspiration from Usagi and Chibiusa's dynamic throughout Sailor Moon SuperS.
- Despite taking inspiration from Chibiusa (from Sailor Moon), Honoka's role moreso resembles Hotaru's. However, her hairstyle resembles Chibiusa's in this arc.
- Kikumo was originally intended to become enamored with Reisen, and thus become unable to face her in battle. This adoration instead goes towards Dyzi, and is much more subdued.
- The hijacked dream Kikumo has after taking hold of the cursed artifact is a direct reference to the autopsy scene from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
- This is the second arc in which Dyzi herself is referred to as a woman, not counting her human disguise.
- Kikumo's Globe "Balance Ring" attack was inspired by Sailor Moon's Moon Tiara Action. Additionally, her spellcard Fire Sign "Psychic Danmaku" was inspired by Mars' Fire Soul.
- The spirit/angel that visits Dyzi in her dreams and implores her to drop her front is a reference to the Blue Yoshi specifically from Super Mario World, complete with feathered wings.
