"Yumemiru trees." A small voice spoke. Seemed to be a young boy from the tone.

You lifted your head, looking past the pink bundle of leaves on the hanging branches. "What?" You questioned in a soft manner. You stood up, inching closer to the tree, peering through the bending and swaying branches.

You couldn't see anything but fragmenta of what seemed like dark blue clothing. "Why are you walking over here?" The boy's voice shook, making you stop moving.

You were curious to see who was talking to you... and why. "Are you here alone?"
There was no response until took one more step, causing him to teeter backwards. You could see his feet by now.
You weren't alone, your sister was picking some flowers to bring back home, so she'd be back any minuet. "I'm not going to hurt you, let me come over to you."

You began to walk over to him, watching to see if he'd step back any more. When you reached the branch blocking your way, you carefully brushed it to the side, revealing the boy.
He had short, dark blue hair, wearing what looked like a matching color romper. "Hello." You beamed at him.

The boy, wide eyed, stared at you in fear. You I he'd closer, glancing behind him to see if there was anyone that would be watching him. "Are you lost?" You asked.

The boys wide eyes lowered into an offended look, "we look the same age."

You froze, confused as to why he'd say that. "What does that have to do with anything?"

"You're treating me as a kid."

"What. No I'm not." You sneered.
How ungrateful.
"Do you need my help?"

The boy rolled his eyes and turned around. "Of course not. Do you even know who I am?"

You shook your head, "does it matter?" You questioned.

The boy stopped in his track and darted his eyes to you, "Yes. I am an extremely pow-"

"Didn't ask." You stated. "You don't have to be a jerk. I asked if you wanted help."

The boy didn't say any thing, just turned and headed off in the direction he faced.

Welp. If he's lost, that's on him. Nothing I can do about that. Scrawny little boys like him shouldn't wonder off and-
You hesitated, looking back at the blue boy walking.
He'll be fine. Survival of the fittest....?
You took a deep sigh and jogged after him, far enough to where he wouldn't notice you.

After following for about a half an hour, you noticed he was walking close to areas your sister warned you not to go. 'Too many bandits' apparently.

Still, you didn't turn back, you pursued the small mission you gave yourself. Get the blue boy home.

Just as he turned around the bottom of a cliff, you ran faster to see where he'd go next since he was out of sight. But, you ended up bumping into him.

"You followed me." He sighed.

"No."

"So you live here?"

"Maybe." You looked him in the eyes. He didn't seem that annoyed so you thought it'd be okay to tell him the real reason. "You think I'd let a boy wander off? You are lost, face it."

He crossed his arms and yelled, "I am not lost!" He huffed and shouted louder, "just mind your own business, gosh you're annoying!"

You felt tears wanting to form in your eyes but you pushed them away. Just then, you noticed something from behind him. "Stop talking." You whispered.
