Tom would usually work late nights keeping you worried that if he was actually working or just with some other girl.
You sighed getting up from your chair and turing the lamp off and going up stairs. You rolled into bed about to fall asleep when you hear the front door open and toms keys being set on the bench in front of the door.
You heard his footsteps coming closer to the door till finally he opened it. "Y/n" he whispered knowing you were still awake
You looked up and met his gaze "what?" You asked as he got closer to you and sat beside you
"I'm sorry I've been very absent" he said putting his hand on your waist
"It's okay Tom" you say sitting up
"I promise in a couple days I won't have to work as late and we can do something together" you smiled at him trying to make an effort
"Okay" the worries you had soon washed away and you pulled him into your arms "I love you" you whispered into his ear "I love you too darling" he muffled into your chest.
The two of you finally went to bed after talking about his day and yours "Goodnight" you say and you wrapped your arms around him
"Goodnight" he says kissing the top of your head
