Chapter 1 (She's mine)

Elaine (POV)
"Mommy look,the sky is so beautiful and the stars shine so bright" 5 years old Elaine said to her mother who was gazing up at the sky smiling brightly.
"Where would you like to go to someday mom?" Asked Elaine.
"The brightest star there pointing at one" answered Elaine mother.
"What about you Elaine?"
"I wanted to go to the moon because it shines so so brightly."
"Wanted?"
"Yes,because anywhere you go I will follow you." She said.
Her mother looked down at her and smiled fondly. Immediately, a car honked was heard and Kate(Elaine's mother) rushed inside with her daughter and put her in the closet, telling her not to come outside.
"I love you baby gal. Promise me you would be good for momma."
"I love you too mommy. But where are you going?"
"Mommy wants to go and fight off the bad guy."
"Okay mommy,come back soon."
Immediately after her mom went down the stairs to fight the bad guy,shouting was heard and gunshots sounded.
After waiting for a long time, Elaine decided to go down to see her mom what she saw made her wish she had stayed where her mom put her.

Waking up suddenly with a gasp, standing up from the bed,i went into the bathroom to wash my face. Looking into the broken mirror,I signed deeply at the dark circle under my eyes. After taking my bath,i looked a lot more better than I had been when I first woke up,but the dark circles still prominent.

Glancing at the clock,seeing it was 7:20,i cursed under my breath and immediately rushed to work before I got late to work or my boss would be mad.

I arrived at work at 7:55 anted signed my name right away and proceeded to the staff changing room to change to my work outfit. I work at Red Night club. It's a pretty popular place here in the city. Mostly rich people come here and by the end of night it gets to crowded. I knew that because when one of my coworkers called in sick I was asked to file in for her at night.
My shift was ranged from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.

I didn't like my job but there is nothing I can do about it unless I want to end up jobless and without a roof over my head. I really don't have friends here also. I didn't know why,but I was not liked mostly by the females. I tried being friends with a girl but it backed fired.

The day dragged in slowly without much drama and by the end of my shift I was tired and energy drained. I went to change my out of my work clothes and picked up my bag and left.

Hailing a cab wasn't an option for me. I don't have the money. I decided on walking home and passing the nearest alleyway to get faster to my home.

The night looked oddly dangerous and quite with occasional whispers from the wind. The night was chilly and cold and I wrapped my arms around my body to bring me comfort and blaming myself for not carrying a hoodie.

Suddenly I heard voices and evil laughs and gunshots and a car driving off into the night. Curiosity hit the best of me,despite a voice I my head telling me go mind my business and go home. I reached the scene and am saw a man trying to get up but was failing to do so. I immediately went to him to assist him and saw blood dripping from his abdomen. Suddenly he fell unconscious. When I looked closely at his face,I held back a gasp. He was so beautiful. I couldn't use handsome to describe him. He looked like God had taken his time to carve him. He was much more beautiful than Adonis. I felt intimidated. His presence simply demanded attention and arrogance even in his state. I couldn't help but wonder if it was fair.

I crouched down to his level and tried to lift him and managed after so much trial. "God,he
weighs a ton."I said to myself.
"Hey mister,can you help us both by holding yourself up." I said to him hoping he could hear me. As if God answered my prayers he held himself groaning. I managed to drag us both home.

Taking off his shirt or should I say suit and shoes, I gasped touching his chest.
"Omg!!!!. I thought internally. His body was hard and smooth and muscles in the right and I imagined ravishing his body. I broke out of my thoughts when I heard him groan in pain and immediately went into the bathroom to get the first aid kit,removed the bullets and cleaned him up.

He slept off after that. I checked the time and saw it was 12:39pm and thanked God it was Sunday tomorrow. I went into the bathroom and showered to remove the sweats and smell of blood from my body. I eat the sandwich I managed to get and lied down on the only available couch in the room since the handsome stranger occupied my bed and slept off hoping not to have another nightmare.
