Turkey's POV
The Australians and the new-Zealanders were invading, most of them drowned and the ones who made it got shot but were still fighting till the end, I've got to admit, they are all brave. Gotta respect that. I look down at a bloody trail leading down the sandy hill, if a soldier was there, id better finish him off. I keep walking down it, I come to a halt when I hear sobbing and muttering coming from behind a tree, I peek behind and see a child holding another child in their arms sobbing, they were both hurt, "Kids?!" I say in shock, the kid sobbing looks up at me in shock, he tears the other unconscious kid away from my direction, "w-who are you?" I ask,
"I-i-i'm Australia..." The trimmed bow replies muttered. Australia huh, the other one must be New-Zealand. how could the UK do this!?
"I see... How old are you guys?"
"I'm 10 and my sister is 6..."
"Kids?! Not even teenagers? You guys are way to young to be here! why are you here?" I say in a panic
"O-our leaders told us to get onto the boat to witness the battle field and write about it......" Leaders huh... So it wasn't the UK? "P-please... if you're going to kill us, do it now..." That broke my heart... The boy grabs my arm with the gun in it and points it to his head, looks down and hugs his brother tighter waiting for me to pull the trigger.
"no... No! I refuse to let this happen!" The boy looked up at me confused wondering why I hadn't pulled the trigger, I kneel down and pull him into a tight hug, I whisper in his ear, "I'm not going to hurt a child with my own 2 hands, I'm not heartless." I help Australia up and pick up New-Zealand and start walking, "I'm taking you back to your family whether my leader likes it or not."
AU: I keep forgetting about this story but I'm editing it now that I've changed my au like making new Zealand a girl (but non binary in other stories that take place in the future) and now that I've studied WW1 more in my yr9 history class I can do a more accurate story. I'll try and make another chapter but I've suffered from forgetting all my stories and procrastination and being busy so I've also got other stories to work on so don't depend on the chapters of any of my work coming out quickly 👍
