Since all my bionic training returned to my memory, I didn't have to do pre training to learn control. Pretty soon though Big D started sending me on missions with the others. "Charlie how many," Chase asked as we hid behind a large rock. I closed my eyes and reopened them using my sonar location. "Too many. Half armed," I said still scanning. "Too many meaning," Bree asked. "Not more than we can handle if we stay stealthy," I said returning my vision to normal. "Good," Chase said with a smirk. We snuck in and began to pick them off one by one, until someone alerted the whole compound of our presence. "Well looks like we're just going to have to fight our way in," Chase said. The compound guards came running in and I ran towards them sliding to dodge their shots. I slid into a kneeling pose behind them and jumped up beginning to fight them.

The others made their way to the door way behind me and I began to make my way back letting out a sonic scream, pushing the guards back, right before Chase sealed the door. "Nice. We're in," Bree said high fiveing me. Chase went to the computer, while the rest of us looked around. "So how do you feel now about being bionic," Bree asked. "I'm starting to get used to it, but it's still weird. One thing I don't understand is why he would give me the chip, train me, and then hide the training from my memories," I said. "It's a nurturing thing," Adam said. "What," I asked. "He probably wasn't nurturing your abilities properly, so they were probably malfunctioning. So he hid your abilities from you completely," Adam said. "Wow Adam," I said. "That actually made sense," Bree said. "I have to agree. And apparently Charlie was a shared project," Chase said.

We joined Chase at the computer and looked at the screen. "It's a scan of me," I said. "Project Pipes. You aren't pipes, why would they call you that," Adam asked. "Pipes is another term you use when someone has a loud voice," Bree explained. "Oh," Adam said understanding. "Looks like our dear partner got to you first," a voice said. "Why me," I asked as Adam, Bree, and Chase circled with me in the middle to protect me. "Because you are special. You have great potential," the voice said as the computer began to pull up my back ground. "After all your grandparents were my best agents," he said pulling up a picture of them in their prime. Chase looked back at me to see my face in shock. "Surprised are you," the voice said. "After the your grandparents passed, your mother did a great job of hiding you until your dear friend found out your past and told lots of people. Allowing us to find you again," he said showing a picture of young me with my best friend before Leo. "And you were such a trooper too," he said showing the clip of her house blowing up, that killed her.

"Then why not get me then," I asked. "We tried, but yet again your mother took you into hiding," he said. "Then you became friends with these three and came back onto our radar," he said. "If you have all kinds of tracking at your disposal, why didn't you get me before him," I asked. "We made a deal. He gets us you and we get his children. But he broke that deal when he gave you a reprogrammed chip and hid you from us for his own gain," the voice said turning out the lights. I used my sonar vision to see that the room was filled with armored men. "Cover your ears," I whispered to Chase, Adam, and Bree. They did and I let out a powerful Sonic Scream, disabling them and blasting a hole in the wall.

My lead guard went to take off after her but I stopped all of them with a single hand movement. "Let them go. She'll come crawling back when her friends realize they can't trust her anymore," I said crossing my arms. "Are you sure," he asked. "She's tough but if she's anything like her grandparents, she will return," I said smirking at her disappearing figure.

We got back to the house and walked through the lab. I passed everyone as I made my way up to my room. I took a quick shower and put on some comfy clothes. When I walked back in my room to find Chase sitting on the side of my bed. "Hey. Thought you could use a hug," he said with a small smile. I just nodded my head and sat on his lap as he held me. "You wanna talk about it," he asked petting my head. I simply shook my head. "You want me to stay with you tonight," he asked. I nodded my head as I got up to let him get situated. When he had gotten comfortable I crawled to lay between his legs and rested my head on his chest. "I don't know what you're going through Doll, but just know that I'm here for you," he said as he rubbed my back and kissed my head.

The next morning when I woke up, I went downstairs for breakfast and immediately Leo started asking questions. "What happened? You look like you've seen a ghost," Leo asked. "I don't want to talk about it," I said. "Oh come on. Do the words best friend not mean anything to you," he said. "They mean everything to me! That's why I don't want to talk about it," I said. "Please," he begged. "Leo. Sometimes the scars you can't see are the ones that hurt the most," I said before storming off to the roof. I was up on the roof looking at the view when Chase joined me.
