Chapter 10 - Meeting

When I woke up, Ghirahim was sleeping beside me, it reminded me of the night I was in the infirmary with Link. My body was covered with bandages because of the Yiga's attack and I was still wearing Ghirahim's cape. He suddenly got agitated. Was he having a nightmare? When I placed my hand on his, he woke up. He looked at me with sad eyes and took me in his arms. I could feel the sadness that filled him when I wouldn't wake up. It warmed my heart to know that I meant so much to him.

"I talked to Hylia."

"What?"

He let go and his face darkened.

"What did she want?", he asked.

"She showed me what happened after I fainted."

"Oh! About that, I wouldn't have hurt you! I was just pretending to make that brat go."

"I know, don't worry. I also met the spirits of the champions, I learnt a few things."

"Anything else?"

"I asked her why she created me."

"What? Why would you ask that?"

"I wanted to know that's all."

"What did she answer you?"

"She wants me to repair the mistakes from the past."

"She was talking about me, right?"

"Partly yes, but she meant it in a good way, she regrets not being able to keep you with her."

"What does she want then? She wants me to come back to babysit her humans?"

"No, she actually wants us to keep being more free than you used to be before you left her side."

"I already have a master."

"One that treats you badly for every little mistake you make."

"I'm fine."

"Let me help you Ghira."

"Ghira?"

"You give me a nickname, I can do the same for you."

He smiles gently and I start holding his hands. The rain kept pouring but the storm stopped.

"What should we do now Ghira?"

"You can join me if you want."

"Join you in what?"

"Join my side."

"What? You want me to join Ganondorf?"

"Why not?"

"I would never join the person that hurts you, I would fight against him to stop that nonsense."

"You don't need to fight for me, I'll be fine."

"You're not fine, stop lying about your well-being."

"You can't even fight anyway."

"Then teach me how to use my powers."

"Fine I will, but don't go against my master or he will make the both of us pay."

Ghirahim and I spent the next few days trying to make me control my magic. One day, some soldiers passed by and saw us. We were supposed to hide, we ran away from them and they didn't chase us. We arrived in Hebra, the snowy region of Hyrule and also the coldest. I made myself a cape like Ghirahim's to keep me from the cold. Ghirahim has to return to his master from time to time, if he gets injured, I help him get better.

Today, Ghirahim told me we'd have some visit from someone that served the same master as him. He comes from the Kingdom of Twilight, his name is Zant. He is being named as the King of Twilight but the true heir to the throne is a certain Midna, Princess of Twilight.

"Hello, are you the lady, Ghirahim talked to me so much about?, asks Zant."

"I suppose I am."

"I came to talk with Ghirahim, where is he?"

"He should come back soon, he makes sure nobody's around."

"Are you two hiding from something?"

"Yes from the soldiers of the castle."

"Why? Did you two do something?"

"Oh well, actually they would be searching for me, because they already were enemies with Ghirahim a long time ago."

"Why are they searching for you then?"

Ghirahim comes in and answers :

"Because I refused to let them have her. She got attacked by Yigas, the brat and I came at the same time to help her. She was already down when we arrived. Once we were done with the idiots, I held her and I threatened the brat to kill her if he didn't stop attacking me. I then made him leave. They have been searching for her since then."

"So they haven't found you here yet?"

"No they didn't, '' I answered.

"Are you planning on going back soon or are you going to keep hiding here?"

"Well I'll eventually have to go back, they must be worried..."

"Especially since I threatened that they would never see her again, '' said Ghirahim."

"I'm learning to fight with my powers before thinking of going back there. I have already been in danger twice."

Ghirahim takes Zant to the next room so that they can discuss. While I wait, I look at the snow through the window. I see someone standing not too far away from where I am. Still as curious as ever, I wear my cape and go outside. I walk towards the person that becomes clearer. I place my hand on her shoulder and she turns around.

"Lorelley! I finally found you!"

"Zelda? What are you doing here?"

I take her on a walk as she doesn't seem to know that there is a house behind her and I need to make sure she doesn't come back here again or Ghirahim would be in trouble.

"Where is Ghirahim? Did he hurt you?, she asks."

"No, he wouldn't do that."

"Oh really? But where is he? He took you away!"

"If I had been conscious, the time he took me, I would have gone with him anyway, so don't blame anything on him."

She seems silent all of a sudden. I noticed that she was alone which isn't normal for someone of her status.

"Weren't you accompanied by Link? Or at least soldiers?, I asked."

"I actually got lost in the mountains."

I suddenly get suspicious. Zelda knows the whole Hyrule, she would never get lost. Am I in the company of a Yiga? I take my dagger in case I really am right about this. I look closely at "her" and see that she is holding a weapon, preparing to attack me. It is a Yiga.

"Stop, I said."

"What, why?"

"You don't need to hide anymore, show yourself."

She smiles and the Yiga reveals itself. I use one of my powers to attack it. After being too hurt, the Yiga disappears. I hear voices coming from behind me. I keep my dagger in hand in case other Yigas come.

"Lory!"

It's Ghirahim's voice, I must have gotten him worried again.

"I'm here!"

He looks around him and finds me in the blizzard.

"Where were you?, he asked me."

"I thought the princess was here, but she was alone."

"She never wanders around alone even if she wants to."

"Exactly, I figured it was a Yiga. Don't worry, I made him run away."

"Did you use your trick?"

"Yes, I did."

"We should go back before someone finds us, but please don't go out there again."

We got back to the chalet and Zant went back to his master. We stayed here for some more time until I could control my powers well. Two months have passed since the Yiga incident. I believe that it is time for me to go back to the castle.
