Dear journal or whatever you're called,

Today I made a new friend, yes, i know very surprising. His name is Liam Calloway and he's the same age as me and lives in this town.

He has a twin brother, but they are so different i find it funny. His name is Theodore but he likes that every one calls him Theo.

Theo is very fun and nice and loves ice cream, and Liam is quiet and shy, but nice even though he doesn't really smile.

I'll ask him about that later since my mother is calling me to have dinner right now.

We're having pizza with grandma and dad. I'm so exited.

Hello journal,

Today I asked Liam why he doesn't really smile anymore and he said he doesn't know, I told him he was dumb for not knowing but I guess it's okay that he doesn't know.

We're barely nine years old and we still have a whole life in front of us.

We went to the beach today and we meeted another boy, Nicholas. He's our age and lives here in town like us.

Theo and Liam instantly liked him and we became friends.

Now there's four of us.

Well, five counting Liam and Theo's little sister, Annaliese. She's four years older than us but she's like a ray of sunshine, always making things better.

I love her, she's like my best girl friend.

But you won't guess what happened today with Liam. He made me a bracelet by himself and I know i'm probably exaggerating because it's just a bracelet but I love it.

I'm wearing it right now. It's blue, my favorite color and has a little white shell in the middle of it.

When i asked him why he made me one, he just shrugged his shoulders but he was hiding a smile.

He has a nice smile journal.

Dear journal,

Summer went on so fast that I barely noticed, but I guess that happens when you're too busy having fun.

I have been thinking for a long time and I think this journal is going to be just for my summer adventures.

School is going to be boring and nothing will probably happen so it's best I just write in summer.

I'm going to miss you journal.

But I'm running late and I have to go do something with my grandma and then i'm meeting Liam and the guys.

My parents are talking about moving to Boston.

I guess my father is being offered a better job than the one he has here.

I don't want to ever leave. I love this place.

Dear journal,

It's past midnight and today was rhe first time I ever snuck out of my house.

Liam and I went to the beach and spent our last night of summer together.

We watched the stars and laughed at our jokes.

I like having Liam around me. He makes me laugh and smile at his dumb observations and comments.

I have a crazy thought, but i'm sure it's nothing and it won't become true.

Dear journal,

It's summer and we're having a party today. My grandma is hosting it and everyone in town is going to eat and play games.

My dad is making his famous dessert, the one he makes when I'm feeling sad and he wants to cheer me up.

I really hope Liam, Theo, Annie, and Nicholas go to the party.

It would be boring without them there.

I should start getting ready.

Liam is moving to Minnesota, his parents think that will help their marriage work better.

They don't know when they'll move but probably around October.
