People say it's good to make a summer bucket list.

They say it's good to write down achievements you want to do during summer with your friends.

I thought it would be a good idea to make one with Eliana.

But it's not. Specially right now.

"Rhea, I know you can run faster than that!" Eliana yells at me as she runs behind me.

"I'm trying! I'm trying!" I yell at her, but I have to stop since I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. "I need a break!"

"No breaks, Rhea. How do you want to get better at running when we stop constantly for breaks?" Eliana asks me and looks down at me.

I look at her with tired eyes, "I have no idea, just give me five minutes," And with that, I let myself drop to the sidewalk, not caring that people are watching me.

It's so hot and I'm sweating so much.

"How are you not tired?" I ask her as I open my eyes to see her checking her watch, completely fine.

Eliana just shrugs her shoulders, and clicks something on her watch before she turns to me. "I'm never tired,"

"I know that," I say, tired and wanting to just go home.

"Did I ever told you that Rachel and I used to go to runs every mornings?" Eliana asks suddenly, and I see her staring at the ocean in front of us. "It used to be fun,"

"Do you miss her?" I ask her, covering my eyes with the palm of my hands since the sun is way too strong.

Eliana sighs, deeply. "Sometimes, but it's okay,"

"I'm sorry," I tell her, and for a moment my words just linger in the air. But she then she turns to me, and gives me a small smile.

"Don't worry Rhea, I'm okay," She says but before I can ask her any further, she changes the subject. "Okay, let's go, you had your break. Let's do this thing!"

"Oh no, I actually remembered that grandma wants us back in like five minutes, so we should go back home,"

"Funny, you are very funny." She smiles at me, but her smile fades away. "Get up,"

"Fine, but if I die out of exhaustion then it's your fault," I say and take her hand to help me get up from the sidewalk.

I wipe down the sand that got on my shorts with my hands and stand next to Eliana.

"I can live with that," Eliana nods at me. "Let's go!"

And with those last words she starts running in a sprint, leaving me behind to run behind her.

"I'll be right behind you, El!" I yell at her even though i'm not running. "Oh jesus, I'm so tired,"

I used to be in track back in middle school, I swear I used to be better at running but I guess after moving places and schools I lost my liking for track.

But I'm definitely going to try to get better at running during this summer.

It's on my bucket list.

I just forgot how hard it is.

Finding the closest bench to me, I walk with sore legs to sit down and I sigh happily when i'm sitting down.

"Oh lord," I whisper to myself and thank that Eliana hasn't noticed i'm not running with her.

I have a few moments of people until a random guy stands in front of me.
