Jungkook could hear his heart flutter as Ava tends to his wound. "It's not that deep but this can get infected..." Ava says as she carefully puts on a strip of plaster to secure the gauze.
"Thank you..." Jungkook said sincerely, looking at her as Ava lightly pats his injured thigh. God, her touch is driving him crazy.
"You have to apply this antibacterial cream 3x a day for 7 days but if it doesn't get better in 3 days, let's get this checked okay?" She said sounding serious, holding the small tube of cream to let him see before putting it in a zip lock together with some spare gauze and a roll of plaster.
"Yes Doc!" He says grinning and was about to thank her again when her phone rings.
📞<Jin Calling>
Ava:"Hey! You're here already?"
Jin:"Lady A, there's been a little accident..."
Ava: "Wait what? Are you okay? Where are you?"
Jin:"I'm just a couple blocks away... my car was sideswiped by a delivery truck and from the looks of it, I might be staying here for a while."
Ava: "Tell me exactly where you are... I'm coming there now."
Jungkook stays put seeing how composed Ava is despite her frantic questions for Jin. He admires how she's so concerned with people around her. Though she treated him well, he felt a bit jealous that Jin suddenly got her full attention.
For a moment there he felt special but after seeing her reaction about Jin's accident, he sees now that she's just a good person and what she did for him, tending to his wound, was nothing extraordinary.
"Kook, here's your meds don't forget what I told you okay?" She said, hurriedly picking up the used cotton pads and stained gauze she used on him. "I may need to get going, Jin needs me."
"Okay, I'll just get my bag..." Jungkook said before heading towards the break room.
"You're leaving too?" She asked, heading to the theater room to get her stuff.
"I'm driving you there..." He announced before disappearing from the hallway.
He was already buckling his big knapsack to his waist while waiting for Ava by the elevator. She appears with a small luggage at hand and a big duffle bag.
"Kook, you really don't have to... it's just a couple of blocks from here anyway." She says while entering the elevator.
Jungkook takes her luggage and looked at her from the elevator's reflection. "It's okay I don't have anything else to do today."
As soon as Ava saw Jin in the accident site, she hurriedly went up to him for a tight hug. Jungkook couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy as Ava buries her face in his chest. Are they together?
"Are you okay? What did the medic say? Aren't you suppose to get a scan or X-ray just to make sure?" She asked after pulling away from Jin.
"They checked me and said I'm okay, besides the impact wasn't really that forceful." Jin reassured her.
Just then, a tall figure ran passed Jungkook and went straight to Jin. Ava stepped back as the guy pulled Jin in his arms.
"Joon, I'm okay... See?" Jin assured Namjoon as he throws punches in the air. "I'm strong as a bull!"
Ava had a few minutes of talk with both guys before remembering she was with Jungkook. She motioned to him and gave an apologetic look for leaving him behind. She walked up to him and pulled his wrist towards Jin and Namjoon.
"I totally forgot I came here with Jungkook..." She announced still clutching Jungkook's wrist.
"Namjoon this is Jungkook, my new partner in crime... Kook, Namjoon..." Ava says as introduction.
"Jin's partner... in love." He says with eyes sparkling like diamonds.
"It's good to meet you." Jungkook shakes his hand which Namjoon gladly took.
An officer interrupted inviting Jin to the police station to sign the report and he didn't have to ask Namjoon to accompany him, he was already on his feet. Although Ava insisted on staying, she was cut off by Jin who reminded her she had to take the bus to Daegu instead.
"What's in Daegu?" Jungkook asked as he buckles his seatbelt before driving the car back to the building.
"My parents... I just need a quick visit." Ava calmly says with a smile.
"Were you going alone?" He asked curiously.
"Jin was suppose to come drive for me but now I'm coming alone." She said while browsing through her phone.
"Can't you just postpone it until Jin can come with you?"
"Oh... it has to be today. It's okay, besides I miss riding the bus."
"You know I can drive for you... I don't have any plans this weekend anyway." He insisted, trying to see if you'll agree.
"I can't... it's too much to ask." Ava says shaking her head.
"It's really not... I need to get out of the city anyway, so you're actually doing me a favor." Jungkook says as he pulls over in front of the building.
