When you give someone a chance to turn your world upside down you usually deliberate it with yourself before allowing it. Firstly, you're considering all the consequences that might could happen. Then, you start questioning your capabilities of opening your soul to someone else and letting them read you like an open book. And finally, you're making sure that you completely and utterly trust the person you're dedicating yourself to.
Me? I did none of those.
I jumped into something that I haven't examine before. Something that sounded too good to be true.
I used to always follow the rule of never letting myself overthink the situations, to just live careless and unconditionally happy. But, there were moments when I regretted that decision deeply. Consider this as the one of them.
I pulled the magazine from the night stand and started reading it for the third time. It was empty and blur. Without pictures or words or anything else that could snap me out of my daze and get me back to reality.
All my girls at the party
Look at that body
Shakin' that thing like you never did see
Got a nice package alright
'Cause I'm gonna have to ride it tonightI rapidly jumped out of my covers at the sound of magnificent Janet Jackson's voice and with literally shaking hands, I grabbed my phone.
"Yeah?" I blurted, almost out of breath.
"Yo, sup wit' you?" My heart dropped in disappointment at Shawn's voice at the end of the other line. "Man are you for real?"
"Shawn, he can't just come out of blu telling me shit like he's gonna try having something with me and then left and don't even bother to call me for three weeks!" I hissed.
"Yeah, I get where you're comin' from but he's motherfucking Eminem, he has no time for datin' bitches and shit, yo no offense man but that's just the way it is.."
"Things will never be the same.." I sang along.
"Tupac today, are we?" He chuckled.
"Whatever." If he was sitting beside me, I would totally flip him off but I was too tired for any attempt of letting him know how irritated he was.
"Imma pick you up right now and we're gonna buy some drinks and get wasted!" He demanded.
"Well that never ended up good." Even I didn't know what was I referring to. We got in loads of different bullshits whenever we drank. Started from sleeping together a few times and jumping in the pool in the middle of the winter during our vacation two years ago in Germany.
"I know but we gotta take you out of that bed man, you can't stay there forever." He stated the obvious.
"I know but-... Shawn, how come you already arrived?" I rolled my eyes at his loud knocks on my door.
"Nah, Imma get going soon."
"You're not in front of my door?" I questioned.
"Nah, why?"
"I'll call you back." I muttered and hang up. In rush, I walked towards the door and unlocked them.
"About the damn time." I stopped in my tracks and froze as soon as the sound of his boyish voice approached my ear. Stunned, I slowly raised my head just to face his gorgeous baby blue eyes through his glasses that immediately reached the deepest part of my soul. I moved a little, just to give him enough space to step in and close the door behind him. He was dressed in light grey sweatpants, plain white t-shirt and on the top of his head was placed a navy cap with big white letters that remarked the word 'shady' printed on it. What caught my attention for the first time was jewelry that was all over him. The bracelets and necklaces made of pure gold and even a little ring around his index finger. He looked very attractive but not in the typical way. More in nerdy way with his adorable round glasses that gave him an image of total softie.
