Time is of no essence
Since the very first day, our eyes have met each other's gaze
Words have lesser interpretations
Of this force within, all ablaze
You were the mirror I can't stop looking at,
In the past, I was always scared to look
The truth I never wanted to hear
The mirror I want to break me apart
Like how the rocks crumble in every eruption
It makes me feel me,
By just staring through your soul
All the memories were gone
I have forgotten how my name sounded in your voice
Your hands felt cold
But now it's clear for me
Now that I have forgotten
The pine,
The really cheap pine told me so
It whispered to me, "the wind that makes people forget"
About the moment
About that moment
About that moment we've both been sorry for
When you stroked my hair
That one movie sunset
I was told they were felt
When you held me
And after I heard your voice
I was told they were not meant for me to hear
If I were not me
Or if I were not her
Would it be meant for me?
Would I even deserve to be at least,
A secret you'd be eager to keep?
Nobody told me
The moment that time stopped
Everything else moved on
But me.
