THIRD PERSON POV
After a long but peaceful day at work, Sana opened their apartment door while playing with her car keys. As she opened the door, she took off her shoes and noticed a pair of a black Converse JW Anderson neatly placed by the floor mat. She smiled to herself. Realizing she's not alone inside their apartment this time. She carefuly placed her shoes beside it. Laughing a little thinking about her housemate's obsession with sneakers.
After she put her car keys in the bowl on the top of the table by the hallway, she dropped her things in her room and went to the other room beside it. She knocked first, and when no response was heard, she slowly opened it. And smiled to herself as she saw blonde hair peaking through the covers. She walked slowly beside it and crouched down to the level of the bed. The digital clock on the bedside table shows that's past seven o'clock in the evening. And she's sure as hell that this person sleeping like a baby she's looking at right now probably haven't eaten yet. She wiped the few strands of hair that's covering the person's face. Noticing the dark colors around their eyes. As much as she knows how sleep is needed, she can't let this beautiful human being sleep through the night with an empty stomach.
"Jeongyeon-ah" she softly called. All the while caressing it's hair. "Jeongyeon, wake up."
The person stirred and slowly opened her eyes. Taking a while to adjust her vision.
"Sana?" she asked as if making sure of the person in front of her.
"Yeah. You need to wake up. It's past dinner time, you need to eat. You can sleep again later." she said as Jeongyeon slowly sit up and lazily stretched her arms. A few cracking of bones here and there. Ah this old hag.
"Did you just got home? You're still dressed up" Jeongyeon asked as she realize that Sana is still on her blouse and pencil cut skirt. "It's a little late."
"Chaeyoung needed help rearranging the paintings. She's planning to have an exhibit next month."
"Should I buy one of her works? I think the wall by the hallway looks a little empty." Jeongyeon asked while getting off the bed to stand in front of Sana and snuggle on her neck. A habit she does to Sana that she developed while living with her. Both of them aren't bothered with it considering the years they've lived together.
Sana laughed a little at this (also partly ignoring the way her heart skipped a beat but that's just for her to know, well kind of). And wrapping her arms around jeongyeon to draw circles around her back. Knowing that this action relieves some of the doctor's tiredness.
"If only people knew that you can be this clingy. You're like a baby when you're at home but you always make your interns scared to death."
"Uugghh. Stop. I'm just tired. It's been so long since I've had a peaceful sleep." Jeongyeon said with a groan.
The two girls slowly made their way to the kitchen. Sana took out the engredients to make some pasta for their dinner. Good thing she bought a new bottle of wine last week. They'll have some tonight. They both deserve it.
" How's work? " the person sitting on the stool by kitchen island asked. Sana looked at Jeongyeon and saw her already opening the bottle of wine.
"Work's fine. A little busy since a lot of people have been calling to see Chaeyoung's works. I don't know why we don't just have an auction. Some people are offering millions." she explained while waiting for their dinner to cook. "You? You're home early today."
"Oh yeah. That's because Nayeon's stupid. But it's fine for me, though. At least I got this afternoon off to get some sleep. Badly needed it since someone decided to drink their ass off last night and I had to nurse them." Jeongyeon said with a smirk on her face.
Sana whined while pouting.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know I'll get that drunk. It won't happen again. I promise."
"I think I've heard that before."
"It's for real this time."
"That too."
They both laughed while Sana served their food. Jeongyeon poured her some wine and clink their glasses.
"But seriously though. I'm not gonna ask you to stop drinking because that'll be no use. But please, promise me not to get that drunk if you're not with me or Chaeyoung. Or any of the girls." Jeongyeon said with hint of worry in her eyes.
"Yes, doc. I promise. I only do it when I'm with you anyway. You're the only person I trust here."
"When will you stop calling me 'doc'?"
"Never? I mean you're a doctor, right? Unless you give up your licence." she laughed while jeongyeon just threw the table napkins at her.
"You wish."
"Then stop asking me to stop calling you that. I just love referring to you as that because I am proud to have a doctor as my friend."
"Nayeon and Jihyo are doctors too. But you don't call them that."
"That's different."
"How so?"
"They're not you."
Jeongyeon laughed and looked downed to twirl the pasta on her fork. She didn't notice the faint blush that appeared on cheeks of the person in from of her.
"You're weird sometimes."
"I'm always weird. Haven't you get used to it?."
The two burst out laughing all through their dinner. After finishing their food, they retreated to the living room to watch a movie. It's a bonding they always try to do when both of them are free. Or when Jeongyeon's free. Snuggling on the couch while watching whatever movie interests them. Then sleeping through it and waking up on top of each other in the morning. Literally.
Jeongyeon, as a closed off person, took time to get used to it. But if you have a literal ball of sunshine in personification of Sana living with you, you'll get used to it easily. And it's fine with her. Since Sana, in no way makes her uncomfortable. She even calms her down. That she even developed the habit of clinging on to her when she feels her body exhausted. It maybe because Sana gives the warmest hugs or just because she's so comfortable with her. But it doesn't matter. What's important is, she somehow found her comfort. And good thing she's living with her.
"Sana?" Jeongyeon called her since she can't really see her face since Sana has her head on her chest. But she got no response. With the stable breathing and soft snores that she heard, she already got her answer.
Seems like we're sleeping on the couch again tonight. She taught to herself.
She pulled Sana's right hand up that's already hanging down the couch. While holding her arm, she noticed some paint near Sana's elbow. Seems like they did some new artworks at the studio this day. She knows that Chaeyoung sometimes let Sana help while painting. Whether she cleans up the brushes or arranges the paints. Chaeyoung even let her choose the colors to use sometimes. The artist said its because Sana have this thing to bring sun to everything. And it even shows with her choice of color pallets. So even if she does things beyond her job as curator/Chaeyoung's secretary, she's fine with it because she loves what she does.
It's almost midnight when sleep slowly crept on to her system. A few minutes later, she fell asleep. With her hand circling around Sana's body. Their breathing syncing into rhythm. Both having the best and most comfortable sleep they've had in weeks.
