When I got home I quickly removed my shoes and went to the kitchen to have some water. And right then I realised i haven't drank any water since I woke up. As a doctor, sometimes you won't even be able to actually take care of yourself. You always have to put your patients first. Even if you haven't had any sleep, you haven't showered or washed your face, even if you haven't eaten anything from the night before. You will push aside all of that. It even came to the point where I fainted at the hospital elevator.

It was last year when an elementary school had food poisoning during the school's foundation day. It was a total hectic mess. Jihyo, Nayeon and I were at the emergency room for 8 hours straight. Never had the time to eat and drink something or even sit down for a second. We were running back and forth towards the emergency, to the pediatric ward, to the laboratories. Even our medical technicians - Tzuyu and Dahyun were so drained that day. They were literally sweating all over even though the laboratory is fully air-conditioned. By the time we made sure that everyone was stable I made my way to my office at the fourth floor of the hospital and that's when I felt that my body is about to collapse of tiredness. I haven't had any sleep the night before that. I had to assist our surgeon who performed an emergency operation to one of my patients. It was a long operation and I have to be there not only because I need to, but also because I want to. It's my patient and I can't stand waiting for results without even helping. When the elevator was just about to reach my floor I totally blacked out. The next thing I knew I was laying in a hospital bed. And with a crying Sana beside my bed. I remembered what she said to me at that moment I woke up.

I opened my eyes and saw a white ceiling. 'What the hell happened?' i thought inside my head and when I was about to move my arms I heard a sob.

"Sana?" she was crying while holding my hand. Her eyes and nose were red from crying and her cheeks were puffy.

"Oh my god you're awake!" she the suddenly hugged me that took me by surprise because I just woke up for pete's sake.

"Yeah yeah I'm awake. You can let go of me now. I can't breathe." I said while patting her back. But then I received a hard smack on my shoulder.

"Ouch! What the hell was that for?!"

"You dumb ostrich! Why are you not taking care of yourself? Stop overworking you dumbass and have time to relax." she looked so annoyed and worried at the same time that it almost look funny.

"Hey it's my job, Sana. Why are you acting like that? You hit me pretty hard you snake. How did you even know what happened to me?" I asked curiously.

"Jihyo called me and told me what happened. She told me that you guys had a large emergency and you also did something the night before that and she said that you probably haven't had any sleep yet or maybe eaten anything. That was most likey the reason why you fainted because she said the lab results were okay. I don't know what she was talking to me about the lab results, scientific and medical terms almost sounds like alien language to me. " she said all of that while playing with my fingers and a little pout at the end.

" Then why are you crying? You know I'm a doctor and that's my job. " I asked with a little smile.

"Because I'm worried. We live together and we're best friends and I feel like we are each others responsibility and I know that you forget to take care of yourself most of the time. It makes me feel so bad because you're always there to take care of me when I'm drunk or when I do something stupid. "

Well, that's sweet.

"You don't have to feel bad, you idiot. You're here now, right?" I said to comfort her because I know she'll never stop having that pout of hers unless I say something.

"What time is it by the way?" I totally forgot about time.

"It's 2:16"

"2:16? Let's go have something to eat." I said getting up from the bed.

"Stores are probably closed at this time Jeong."

"Closed? Why? I'm hungry. Is it a holiday today or something?"

"It's 2:16 am."

"2:16 am?!" she didn't even tell me right away?

"Why didn't you tell me right away, Sana?!"

I laughed at the memory. That was a funny one because we ended up eating food that apparently Sana brought. And then she ended up sleeping at the bed that was supposed to be mine. And I just stayed up until the sunrise to start working again. Even though Sana, Nayeon and Jihyo tried everything to make me take a day off at that day. But no. Work is work. A doctor is a doctor.

That's how I am with my passion. That's how we are at the hospital. Especially that I'm a pediatrician. I have to face kids with different cases, different personalities that you have to understand. But this is what I chose, so I don't have to complain. And I'm happy with what I'm doing right now.

I roamed my eyes around the apartment. It's so quiet. Well, maybe Sana still managed to go to the studio. Though I'm sure that she'll only be sleeping.

Sana works as a curator at an art gallery/studio that Son Chaeyoung owns. I met Chaeyoung a week after Sana got hired. A great artist she is. A great kid too. No wonder Sana is so fond of her. They don't even act like a boss and an employee should be. One time I stopped by at the gallery to hang out with them. When I went inside the office where they were supposed to be, it was empty. So I went to the back room where Chaeyoung mostly do her art works aside from her home. The moment I opened the door I was welcomed by flying paint brush. Then that's when I saw the mess that they were in. Sana was hiding behind a plywood and Chaeyoung was holding a water gun with paint inside it. So, is it a paint gun now?

I stopped going through memory lane. That's enough reminiscing for one day. I changed my clothes, closed all the curtains and just decided to fall asleep.
