After 5 years, Aki is still living inside Wall Maria, but she has killed countless titans and is now planning to return to Wall Rose. When Aki reaches the trost district, she sees a colossal titan break another gate, so she dashes to the gate and begins slaying the titans who come inside, but she is quickly overrun and must retreat.
When Aki retreats, she notices a trio of people who appear to be from the cadet corps being attacked by titans, so she goes to save them after slicing the titans' nape. The trio asks, "Who are you?" to which Aki replies, "I'm Aki Tanaka." I've been living in a wall, Maria, while the rest of you have been living in wall rose
Then tell me your name. In a calm tone, Aki says

Ackerman, Mikasa
Arlert, Armin
According to the three cadets,
"Nice to meet you," Armin says, before asking how you've managed to stay alive after living in the wall. Maria Tanaka-chan
Well, Arlet-kun, I was living off old food and hunting animals that roamed the streets, which was a lot more difficult than what you were going through.
Then something happened that caused the group to split up; numerous titans began attacking people four by four, and it appeared that they wouldn't be able to save them all without splitting up.
