There was a crisp and mellow voice
Speaking right next to me,
'Would you then know me by choice?'
Much too bold was he.Busy hours was when we were astray,
Tiptoeing our wild youth away.
The wool on me was warm,
But my cheeks had a different charm.I was whisked away by you
And seen skies in surreal blue.
Never had I felt so alive;
To me, you were an ocean to dive.Maybe the sun could see it, too,
So it laid low between the hedges.
And my eyes met yours, the loveliest hue
And I no longer had unloved edges.©panda_queen
