Once they arrived they learned that Katherine died, Matt died but came back to life, Elena turned into a vampire, Elena and Damon got together, Jeremy can see ghosts, Bonnie controls the other side, Alaric is getting married to Kai's twin sister Jo, and Caroline and Tyler are an on/off relationship.
They got all that because of the girls. Rebekah, Malia, Edith, Alison and Lydia were the ones to get everything out of Caroline so easily since she has liked Klaus ever since he arrived. But Klaus met someone in New Orleans. Her name was Cami. She was told of the supernatural world and she was Klaus'mate.
Klaus has also apparently impregnated Cami and she was going to have a baby soon. The gender was a girl and they were going to name her, Hope Andrea Astrid Winchester Mikaelson Blue O'Connell. I know big name.
