Chapter 8: the last week

It's the last week of Christmas break and the McKinnon sisters are in the attic messing around in ridiculous clothes and hats
"ORDER" Meg yells "order in the court" they all start banging their feet on the floor "a new play written by miss Jo McKinnon will appear at the barntel theatre in the course of the next few weeks that will pass anything ever seen before" she looks back at jo
Jo raises her smoking pipe "the greatest actress from here to the Mississippi River" she smiles "miss Athena McKinnon" Athena stands up and bows as everyone cheers
"Oh thank you oh thank you" Athena looks at them all
"Bravo bravo" Marlene says in a stern face
Meg stands up again "we hear Meg good and Athena good"
Athena shakes her head "very well done" Athena clinks hers and Beth's smoking pipe together
Jo stands "mr president" she looks at everyone "I would like to oppose they admission of a couple new members" Meg looks at Athena looking confused "they would be deeply deeply greatful" Jo points at Athena "and would add immensely to the spirit of the club" she says with full chest "I propose" she spins around "Mr regulus black, Mr Remus lupin, Mr Sirius Black and Mr James potter" she says in a excited tone
Athena takes out her smoking pipe in protest "absolutely not" she says
Jo puts down her arms "What" she says looking confused
Marlene groans "Please don't tell me you invited them Jo" She says
Jo sounding defeated "Come now let's have em, it'll be a laugh" Jo shrugs her shoulders
"Jo there real boys" Athena says
"We don't want any boys" Meg says
Beth looks down "I think we should do it"
"WHAT" Athena turns to her "real life boys Beth? You can't even stand being close to one"
Beth raises her arms "it's James Sirius Remus and regulus they don't do harm" Jo laughs and pats Beth on the shoulders
"There's the spirit" Jo points at Beth "alright I call a vote" she walks over to Meg "put your hands up" she drags Meg's hand up "oh don't be grumpy Marlene, hands up now" Marlene slowly raises her hands up Jo looks at Athena "put your hand up it's the boys" she glared at Jo "don't be the odd one thena" she begs
Athena rolls her eyes "fine" she raises her hand  "I"
Just as she finishes her sentence the boys jump out of the wardrobe, they all giggle and start pushing eachover
"LADIES PLEASE" regulus says in a old man's voice "DON'T BLAME JO WE DESERVE THE BLAME" he laughs
James joins in walking like an old man "ID LIKE TO GIVE YOU A SLIGHT TOKEN OF OUR GRATITUDE BY GIVING YOU ALL THIS KEY" he holds up a key as Sirius gives everyone all singular keys with red ribbons around them
Sirius joins in "NOW YOU CAN ONLY USE THEM WHEN EMERGENCYS OR FOR ANOTHER COUNCIL MEETING"  Sirius points at all of the girls
Remus walks up "THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT, I'LL TAKE MY SEAT HERE THANKYOU" he sits next to Athena and so does James
Sirius sits next to Meg everyone cannot stop giggling
Athena shakes her head "how long where you guys hiding in there"
Remus replies "about 20 minutes, we all were trying not to fall out".

In they afternoon the boys go home and Athena is sitting in the living room with Marlene as madeye moody wonders into the living room he smiles at Athena "Athena McKinnon you look different" his good eye opens
"What do you mean you saw me last week mad eye" she shakes herhead
He looks shocked "I did ?, last time I saw you, you had that fringe didn't you ah yes"
"No I got rid of that fringe years ago" she cannot believe how clueless he is being
"Oh well tomato potato" he walks past into the kitchen and sits with jo
Marlene laughs "he's so odd" she looks to the kitchen door "wanna listen in ?" She winks
They both stand up "when will I ever say no to that question" Athena says as they sneak up to the door and put their ears to it
Mother sighs "Madeye it won't work" they hear mother say "who would join this organisation, I mean does Dumbledore know about this?"
Madeyes voice gets more quiet "no not yet he will soon Marmee, look he's getting stronger by the day if he keeps on going at this rate no on will be able to stop him, I mean look at what happened a couple of months ago a innocent muggle family killed in their own home it needs to end" his foot taps
Athena looks at Marlene "what organisation is he talking about" Marlene just shrugs her shoulders
Jo interrupts "look if we do start an organisation who will join it and where will we hold the meetings it won't work"
"Here is fine" madeye says "look at this place it's big and homely and barely anyone knows where you live, it would be perfect" madeye says
"In my house" mother says "I'm not putting my girls in danger like that, why don't we do it at hogwarts" mothers voice says with an angry tone
Jo says "to many death eaters at the school they'll report straight back to him" she pauses, her footsteps get closer to the door "MARLENE ATHENA" she opens the door.
They both look up at her "hello" Athena smiles "me and Marlene were getting food" she nudges Marlene
Marlene stutters "yeahhh we were a bit peckish" Marlene stands up
"How were you going to get food with your ear up against the door huh" jo crosses her arms
"Oh just let them join in" madeye pops out of the corner "their old enough" Athena and Marlene walk in
"I think this house is the perfect spot for the meetings of this organisation" Athena says mothers mouth falls open
"Do not tell me you agree with him" she says in disbelief
Madeye pints at Athena "She knew you always had the right head set meg" he laughs
Athena crosses her arms"It's Athena" she adds
"Yeah see she agrees with me, clever girl you are going places" he points at her "what do you wanna be when you grow up Athena"
"An auror sir" she says
Madeye claps his hand "brilliant absolutely brilliant" he stands up and pats her on the back "look the organisation won't start until next year probably marmee you have no worries at the moment, we just need to make a name and talk to Dumbledore about this" madeye grabs his coat "Athena Marlene you'll be seeing me around school, oh I can't wait to see that new phoenix of Dumbledores he was reborn they other day"
Athena and Marlene look at eachover like something had just clicked "the order of the phoenix" Athena and Marlene say at the same time
Jo turns to them both"The what" jo says
Athena smiles "The name of the organisation, the order of the phoenix I mean no one will know it's an organisation and it sounds cool" Athena exclaims
Madeye looks in disbelief "I like it, Marmee your girls are going to change the world I'll tell you that" madeye smiles and leaves "happy new year, see you later" he shuts the door
Athena turns back to them all "New Years was a couple days ago" she laughs
Marlene giggles "he's absolutely mental".
