ruby went upstairs alone, an unnoticed fly following her close behind, the others waiting silently downstairs.

"so.." valerie looked up at the two. "now what?" she asked. eleanor moved from her place to sit next to valerie and she leaned on her shoulder.

they heard a loud bang upstairs and screaming. valerie jumped a bit, turning to look at eleanor.

"ruby?" raven called. no answer. "ruby!" she ran upstairs, eleanor and valerie following. "holy shit.."

valerie gasped and stumbled back into someone. she quickly turned to see ruby holding a razor. she smiled a bit, before swinging it at her.

"val!" raven pulled her back, and instead of her face being cut it was her arm. "ruby, what the hell?" she yelled.

eleanor was still frozen, staring at anastasia's dead body. ruby took a step forward before laughing and going to slice one of the girls again.

"eleanor!" valerie grabbed her hand as the three ran away. she occasionally turned back to see if ruby was still there. "she's- she's gone." she stopped running.

"what the hell was that?" eleanor whispered. valerie shrugged, running her fingers through her hair. "ruby would never do something like that.."

"I swear if you bring that stupid witch into this, eleanor." raven rolled her eyes. eleanor rolled her eyes, and valerie started walking to the door.

"let's just... leave?" she whispered, opening the door. her mouth fell open as she looked at the slashed tires.

"how did she even do that?" raven yelled. "call someone, call someone!" eleanor ran to the phone, dialing someone's number.

"hello? help! we're at ruby's!" she yelled. it was silent for a second, so silent valerie could hear her own heartbeat. she heard a floorboard squeak behind her, and she spun around. ruby smiled, walking slowly.

she let out a shriek, grabbing both girl's hands and running. they ran upstairs and hid in miss lane's room.

"sarah, camilia, and kenna are coming," eleanor whispered. "everything's gonna be fi-" a loud banging on the door interrupted her, and valerie fell back into raven, who pulled her closer to the wall.

"we're gonna die!" she yelled, covering her ears and sliding down the wall. raven sat next to her, covering her mouth to silent her cries.

"it's me! open the door!" issac yelled from outside. "hurry!" valerie ran over and opened the door. she pulled him in and closed it behind him.

"you couldn't knock normally?" raven yelled, throwing a pillow at his face. "you traumatized eleanor! look at her!" valerie looked at eleanor, who was curled up in a ball on the floor.

she ran over and sat next to her while issac and raven blocked the door with a dresser.

"valerie, you're not gonna believe me but I know why this is happening," she whispered as valerie pulled her closer to her. "it's- oh my god! your arm!"

"what?" valerie looked down at her arm. there was a large cut and, now dried, blood all over it.

"here." issac tossed her some cloth, and valerie wrapped it around her arm and tightly tied it.

"okay what were you going to say?" valerie asked, but eleanor shrugged and turned away.

"we can leave through the window, meet sarah and them somewhere?" issac suggested. valerie shook her head.

"how would we get away? the car's broken and ruby's in track." she she sat on the bed.

"ruby's in track?" issac asked. valerie nodded, embarrassed that she was seemingly the only one who knew that.

"um, anyway.. we obviously can't outrun her," she stated, before jumping at the sound of banging on the door.

"sarah? is that you?" raven asked, but they soon knew it wasn't when they saw a blade shoot through the door.

"holy shit." issac froze with fear as the girls began frantically trying to open the window.
