"Welcome to my humble abode. Feel free to leave right now."

(Y/N) stood at the entrance to his cottage, arms crossed over his chest as he stared back into the narrowed eyes of the Ultimate Mechanic who stood before him. Nearby, the Ultimate Team Manager remained idle with his fists clenched so harshly that they turned pale.

"Don't think we've forgotten about the shit that got brought up in the class trial," Kazuichi spat angrily. "You knew that Nagito was planning to have someone killed. You could have done something to stop him and Teruteru, you're the only one who could have!"

"I didn't have to do anything," (YN) shot back. "I didn't know the details of Cloverhead's plan, and it's not like I forced Teruteru to take that iron skewer. What happened was up to him and him alone. It's his own fault for not believing in Byakuya's determination to prevent a murder. He had every moment to stop what he was doing. Killing that lucky bastard was not his only option."

"Monokuma got in his head!"

"Are you saying that justifies murder? A stuffed animal giving you fake promises?"

Letting out a shout of frustration, the pink haired boy lunged forward to grab the collar of (Y/N)'s shirt, pulling it harshly to make him lean closer. "You're a fucking bastard, you know that right?" The hacker narrowed his eyes at the proclamation. "Whether you think Teruteru could've stopped what he was doing or not, you had a chance that none of us had. If you had just been a decent human being, none of this would have played out!"

"It's not up to me to babysit you," (Y/N) scoffed, gripping Kazuichi's wrist. The strength he used made the mechanic jolt, trying to pull his arm back to no avail. The (h/c) haired boy kept it in place, like in inescapable iron. "If one plan failed, who's to say he wouldn't make another? Who's to say that he wouldn't try to poison someone? If the bear got into his head, then what happened would not have been his only attempt to escape."

"If you had just told us about the plan, we wouldn't be where we are now."

"Let me ask you," (Y/N) stared back coldly. "If it were me who had died, and it was Byakuya who you were confronting right now, would you blame him for Teruteru's actions?"

Nekomaru stepped into the conversation, his express darkened with anger. "That's different. He didn't see the irons."

"But he had the note," (Y/N) shrugged. "He had night vision goggles. If I had died, and Byakuya had been able to stop it but didn't, the truth is you wouldn't be wandering around trying to capture him like you are with me."

"Th-That's-!" Kazuichi's eyes widened in surprise as the hacker read their intentions like a book.

"I notice my neighbour hasn't returned since you called him out to speak," The (h/c)ette rolled his eyes, glancing at Nagito's cottage that resided next to his own. "You can't hide rope easily by the way. If you actually want to prevent another murder, you take out the source."

"Who's to say you're not the source?" Kazuichi grit his teeth. "How do we know you're not the mastermind?"

"You don't. And you can suspect me all you like," A smirk crossed (Y/N)'s face, twisting into something dark and sinister. "But don't you know? If you start kidnapping people, you'll be seen as the threat. And from what we've seen so far, those who pose a danger to others seem to be targets."

Kazuichi was suddenly thrown onto the wooden planks in front of the door, hitting his head on the ground from the hacker's actions. Nekomaru was quick to run to his side, holding him to sit upright. But from his position on the ground, his could only see the dim light the shone in (Y/N)'s eyes. Despite being a light, it swirled into something that no one could dream to decipher. Sadism? Anger? Hope? Despair? Not a single emotion could be drawn out in this messy array of his true feelings.
