It was a fine Thursday afternoon. A yellow school bus was climbing patiently the steepy road among the suburban area of a quite picturesque town of Tranquillity. The silence which entwined charming white houses with neatly mown lawns was not allowed in the noisy interior of the bus. In fact it was packed with female and male adolescents who were signing on top of their lungs to 'It's my life' by Jon Bon Jovi played from a portable boombox by someone... Well at least they tried to do so.

Those who did not want to ruin their throats listened to their ipods on maximum sound volume... One of them was a 16 year old boy.
He listened to his music ('Enter Sandman' by Metallica) and prayed this torment to end...

- eh if only I had my own car... - he thought to himself.

Lucklily for him the bus turned into familiar street and stopped near his house. The boy got off from the bus and removed his earphones.
He walked slowly along the gravel path towards the villa. Small stones were crunching beneath his red, worn out trainers... Suddenly he heard his mother's voice from somewhere around the flower bed in front of the building:

- oh Sam how good that you came early after school... I need your help with the shopping you see...

- ok mum - said Sam - what do you want from... But he wasn't allowed to finish as his mum exclaimed:

- for heavens sake! Samuel James Witwicky why you are wearing such a scruffy t-shirt! If someone saw you he would come to the conclusion that you are mistreated!

Indeed the boy was wearing worn out Metallica t-shirt and black, baggy jeans with holes on knees.

- oh relax mum I'm perfectly fine - replied Sam - these are only my favourite clothes...

- well but I insist that you change them before you go to the shop - replied his mother. Sam rolled his eyes and muttered:

- ok mum and entered the house. Ms Caroline Witwicky shook her head in mild disbelief. She knew that her son was a good boy, he learned hard, had satisfactory grades and never caused them any problems but she couldn't understand his taste in picking clothes. It was just too much for her... When she entered the house and took off her gardening gloves she found Sam in the kitchen. He ate sandwiches with peanut butter while sitting on the kitchen table. His feet were dangling happily in the air... And before she could say anything about that he jumped off the
table and said quickly:

- I got an A for my chemistry test today, look! - and he showed the graded paper to his mother.

- thats wonderful Samuel - smiled Ms Witwicky and ruffled the boy's hair - I'm so proud of you, have some more sandwiches and please take this shopping list with you the dinner will be at 6 o'clock. Sam smiled and took another sandwich.

- I'd better go... - said the boy

- Samuel... The money - Ms Witwicky smiled at him

- oh yes I forgot - replied Sam took some notes from his mum and ran to the stairs to his room. He came back 5 minutes later dressed in white Pink Floyd t-shirt which was less baggy and ran from the house.
