Chapter 21.

I was released from the hospital two days ago my parents came in the same day. They have been here breathing down my neck really. Checking on me every two minutes like someone is going to attack me, it was annoying. As for my health the doctor had told that there are no complications so i had got the green light and my head was feeling better as for where I was stabbed, I winced everytime I walked but that gradually eased. My work I missed going to work I had wasted two weeks but I had to rest so I have Leah off for the week and told her to cancel all the appointment, as the news that I was stabbed was everywhere. Leah had come to the hospital to visit and she came home too. Abigail too came in saying how she missed her favourite designer. Ryan was being careful too calling me every hour like I had promised. Ian was still upset about the whole 'no bodyguard' thing but I can he was coming around with that idea. Ryan and Ian both resumed normal working as I was out of hospital and home with parents.

"Ma." I called out

"Yes dearie?" My mum ever so sweet.

"Could you make me chicken soup and sandwiches, I am sorry to order you like that." I tell my mum guiltily

"Aw come on Zara you have always been an independent woman. So when you ask for help I know it must be genuine. Are you sure it doesn't hurt that much though?" She asks worrying.

"No ma I am fine. It's just a little less pain than the usual but still pain so i thought I could rest." I put the duvet over my face to cover it.

"No worries, little one, I will get it." I hear here going down and i close my eyes.

"Pumpkin, eat your food it'll get cold." My dad says.

"Pa did you bring food?" I ask the medicine make me so sleepy.

"Yes, your mom was cleaning up the kitchen she asked me if could bring it to you." He sets the tray down and helps me get up.

"Thank you pa, I am sorry I am being such a burden."

"Nonsense! You are absolutely no burden, please don't say that ever again." My dad says.

"Thank you, did you two eat dinner?" I ask even though I know the answer.

"No we are waiting for Ian and Ryan to show up then we will have. Also your sister Aria is coming tomorrow. She just called up saying she will be here with the kids. Now eat dinner,I will be here later to collect the plates."

"I am so excited to meet Aliyah and Adam. Don't worry about the plates I will come down i am bored sitting in the room." My father kisses my forehead and leaves.

I decide to call Ian. "Hello."

"How are you?" He asks me.

"I am doing better, just missing you, you are coming home right after work."

"Yes." He is still upset I know.

"Are you still upset with me?" I ask him.

"No." He says "I am in a meeting , I will see you in the evening." Then he hangs up. He is lying definitely, he is still upset and if he was in a meeting Lucas would've picked up.

I walk down with the tray being careful that shit still hurts, my mum takes the tray from me at the end of stairs.

"Why do you look sad?" My mum asks.

"Ian is just upset I won't accept the bodyguards he hired for me and he is been this cold distant person with me. I don't like it ma."

"Dearie, he is just worried about you that's all." My mum says.

"What should I do? I feel it's so absurd having a bodyguard." I whin.

"Pumpkin have you spoken to him about what exactly is your problem with bodyguard, have you told him your reason?" My dad asks.
