zero: "the beginning"

"LOGAN LEE! WHY DID YOUR FAMILY HAVE TO SEND ANNA AWAY? WHY?!" Sena barged into the Lee household, fighting against the bodyguards and helpers. She marched towards Logan, who had a tear-stained face.

The sound of the harsh slap that was sent Logan's way would leave a mark on his face, but he didn't try to fight against the girl, for he knew he himself was partly to blame for what happened.

"I'm so sorry." Logan pulled Sena in for a hug and the girl thrashed in his hold, but he kept his grip firm until Sena no longer had energy left in her to push him away. "Seol-ah loved you so much."

Sena pulled back a sob, "If your parents didn't send her back, none of this would have happened. She wouldn't have died. What use is her love now that she's dead? They took her away from us."

"I know. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Logan paused, tears falling from his cheeks, "I am going to go back to Korea and find out the truth about what really happened. I will get revenge for Seol-ah even if it kills me."

"I'm going with you."

"What? No, Sena. It's too dangerous."

"Seol-ah wouldn't want you to be alone. It's the least I could do for her."

Logan nodded his head in hesitance after realizing that Sena wouldn't change her mind. "Okay. Let's go avenge her death together."

The teenager unknowingly clasped the matching red apple necklace she got with her best friend quite some time ago, "All of them are going to regret ever laying a hand on her."

"That I'm sure of although, we do need to create a plan first." Logan pulled away from the embrace and led Sena to sit on the couch he was previously resting in.

"Don't worry. I have plenty of those."

Please note that this is NOT a chapter. It's just a teaser of what this book will start off on (aka Seol-ah's death). The first chapter will probably be posted next week.
