"What is it?" I asked, surprised. Jack continued to scroll through the documents I had given him, his eyes beaming wide.

"This contains proof of different illegal dealing my uncle had committed. I wonder why they have this type of document with them."

"They might have been planning to double-cross him," I answered, slowly nodding my head. "Wow, this is even deeper than I thought."

"Whatever it is, it has worked in our favour," Jack said, closing the file. "Thank you so much."

"It's nothing. I also took some pictures of some peculiar documents that I found in their office. I thought you might like to see it, and so I sent it to your email."

"Thank you so much, Esther. You have no idea how much it means to me."

I blushed. "I might have to arrange another meeting so it would be easier to check Haman's office. Hopefully, we would also be able to find something that incriminates him."

"And the twins too," Jack added. "Knowing my uncle, he would certainly have something he could use against them should the time come," he said, grinning widely.

"We are going to use their lack of trust against them."

The next day came quickly, as I hoped. As my boss arrived at a late time yesterday, it was not proper to begin our plan, as that would appear suspicious to our enemies. But that day, I had to start it immediately and it required me facing Mr Haman.

Mr Haman was the last man I wanted to meet.

But for the sake of Jack Rhodes and the company, I had to do it.

It was during the lunch break when I was finally able to gather the boldness to go and meet him. Taking in a deep breath, I knocked on his door, waiting for his permission to enter.

"Come in." his gravelly voice called out. I slowly walked into his office and shut the door quietly behind him.

"Miss Esther, what a surprise." he greeted. Something about the way he smiled at me made my skin crawl.

"Good day sir. I am here on official business. My boss needs to have a meeting with you, and he sent me here to ask you when you are free." I said, making sure to keep my face blank.

The man simply smiled at me, casting a perusing glance down my form.

"Tell me, Esther, is there something special going on between you and my nephew?"

Insulted by what he was implying, I could barely keep a leash on my anger. Gritting my teeth, I replied him,

"No sir. and I do not think I am required to discuss such with you. Would you like to tell him yourself about when you would be free?"

He smirked. "Don't worry. Tell your boss that I would be free this evening. Five o'clock sharp."

I simply nodded my head and left his office. releasing a deep breath, I walk down to my office, simply counting down the days to Mr Haman's downfall.

I would happily spit on his face.

Evening came and jack Rhodes went to the meeting I had earlier planned for him with his uncle.  I patiently waited till the company was empty, even going as far as watching till I saw the twins leave.

That was when I began my search.

Surprisingly, it didn't take long. For all the finesse Mr Haman believed he had, he was certainly not a smart man. He hid his documents where one could easily find them. I didn't know if he had put on security cameras in his office, so I simply changed my clothes and wore a mask and a hat, hoping to God that it was enough to hide my identity.

I was currently crawling around the office, taking perfect pictures of the documents. When I was satisfied, I left the office just as I had come, heading straight for my office with a spring in my step.

It was time to end all these.

Just as the previous night, Jack Rhodes visited my house again. I had already told my uncle of his visit, and so my uncle was ready for his arrival.

when Jack Rhodes entered my house, he was led to the dining room where he was thoroughly interviewed by my uncle. I don't know when my uncle began to nurture an obsession for my boss. I have caught him in several scenarios reading articles about him.

After dinner, my uncle left us alone, giving us some privacy.

"I have sent the pictures of what I found to your email," I said. Jack quickly picked up his phone to check it out. We were both silent, and I watched as my boss looked through the file. Once he was done, he gently put off his phone and looked up at me.

"Wow. Just wow," he exclaimed tiredly.

"What is it?" I asked, worried.

"My uncle has been using this company to launder money. I had suspected but didn't have enough proof for my claim. This..." he said, shaking his phone. "This just confirms my suspicions."

"So, this is good, right?"

"It is. But the backlash against our company is going to be heavy by the time all these come out. it would take God's grace before we can get out of this mess."

"Is the amount that much?" I asked. He nodded in response. "We would have to find a way to fix all these before getting rid of them. So until we do that, we can't bust them yet."

I was disappointed, but I could understand. He didn't want his company to end up in the same situation as it had during the time of his father. I couldn't stand the fact that we finally had what it takes to get rid of our enemies, but couldn't act on it as it would affect us as well. But I had to keep calm, as there was a saying,

The patient dog gets the fattest bone.
