The ground began to shake.
Than I heard the screams.
I ran out of the room my father planned to stay at tonight where he left me with The fabrics He planned to sell here in Shiganshina.
The whole Inn was even emptier than when we walked in this morning.
IT took me two steps to get out of the door. Right The moment I stepped outside, burnt smell stung my nose. Everything was in chaos, every person was running, away And away from what seamed like a hole in The Wall.
Hole in The Wall!
My heart stopped for a minute And than picked up two Times faster than before. A wave of disgusting ly deformed humanoid giands was pushing through The newfound opening, filling The Street with clouds of blood.
Titans.
FOR some reasons, I Felt my self be unable to move. My traitorous lags were refusing any other kind of moovement than inner shake. I Felt like I could breake in a minute, at the same time, I was like a column with metal core thats stanfing by themselves in The midst of battle.
"move!" I tries to tell my legs, but even my lips refused to change position.
Time was flowing like a Wind, Just passing me by. Until a Very high voice appeared close to me, than a small Hand tucked on my skirt.
"Run... Run... Please!" The voice was shaky asi if The voíce was crying.
"Come on Armin, we must let her go, don't let her kill us." Shouted another, stronger, older voíce.
"RUNNN!" Screamed The Young boy's voice. Suddenly, like a punch to my head, I was able to move And The whole scene punched me with such force I turned on my heal And started running As Fast As I could.
The boy, Armin, And The older man were running by my side, through all The debris And dead bodies were a tough terrain for The little blond boy, but that older man never left his side.
"Don't be affraid Armin, we are almost there." Said The man And pushed Armin to run a little faster. I was losing The bettle with my breath. My langs were burning And I wasn't even half As Fast As the other people running around me.
We took two turns before we got on to a smaller crooked Street that was empty. The screams of The crowd died down a little but you couldn't escape The rumbling ground from The titans feet.
Armin was breathing heavily, I was breathing even havier.
"Are... Eh... God... Are you alright boy?" I asked Armin between my Wild breathe.
Armin seemed scared but He nodded.
We never stopped walkin through.
We weren't running now but I couldn't stop looking back to check for those blod thirsty giants.
When we took another turn I noticed a carriage about two hundred meters away, The sight was followed with The sound of a horse.
"Thank you, Armin." I told The boy.
"Thank you for saving me."
"Why were you standing there Just like that?" He asked.
I shrugged.
"I don't know.. I... I Just couldn't move."
"But you were in danger." He Said his expression confused.
"Yeah, guess my feet didn't think so." I tried to joke a little. It wasn't funny even to me. We haven't gotten out of the wolf's den yet.
"There's a horse," I pointed at The pearly creature harnessed to The carriage.
"IT Will be Hard on him, but He can carry all of us." I Said when I started u doing The toggles to free The horse from The carriage.
"Hands off The horse." A familiar voice Said, followed by the barrel of a riffel that appeard right between my eyes point Ing ať my forehead.
"Dad?" I Said in a quite více.
Halfbald short man appeard from behind The carriage, his eyebrows swiftly formě in to a worries shape.
" Y/N?" My father Said lovingly.
"Oh great heavens Y/N, you are here, oh my goodness, Pile up The fabrics in The back of The carriage And get in, we are leaving."
"What fabrics?" I asked, frowning.
"The ones that stayed with you in The Inn, look it's not time for jokes, Just put them in there And let's go."
"What? I didn't take them, The titans breached The wall, I didn't care about fabrics I cared about my life, but The riffle down we need to disconnect The horse from The carriage, Armin has troubě walking through The streats, his legs are too small we need to get him on it And run too. " I started to undo The clasps again, only to meet with my father's Fury eyes And The barrel of The fun pressed to my forehead.
" You are not leaving without The fabrics. " His voíce was harsh And strong, not smooth like a few moment ago.
" Dad, it's Just fabrics this is about our lives, what The Hell?" I saw The bright anger in my father eyes.
"You little faking spoiled fat brat, you get back for those fabrics or I Will be The one to kill you not The titans."
I couldn't believe my ears. I have witnessed my father ridiculously mad especiall when his bussines was concerned but, never was He angry that I didn't risk my life for his bussines.
" Dad calm down, it's Just stupid fabrics our life is more-" I heard a shot, than pain so strong hit my arm that I almost buckled to the ground.
My eyes went to my sleeve.
IT was torn And blood was streaming down my arm like watherfall.
My father.... My father shot me.
His fingers wrapped around my collar pulling mě closer to him.
The moovement Hurt like Hell, a silent sound of pain escaped my lips.
"You listen you fucking bitch, your life is wothless, you Will go for The fabrics, And you are not leaving without them." He Said The Last part calmly, thou The First one He spat. Than my eyes widend, alongside being shot And slowly coming in to shock I saw As my father pointed The riffle to armins head.
" The kid'll be waiting. "
YOU are not serious, Dad..
It was even Hard to keep my eyes open And my handr from trembling.
Armin was visibly shaking.
IT couldn't get any worse.
Boy, was I wrong about that.
The ground started to rumble again, but this time, followed with an ugly looking Titrn.
My heart stopped.
My mind was blank.
"Dad let Armin to, we need to leave he's gonna kill us." I pleaded.
My father started unclasping The horse.
"Armin Come on, you go First." I Said fiddling my Fingers in Armin direction to Come to me.
"The brat's not going, neither are you." He Said And jumped on The horse. Titan was Getting closer And closer. We need to get mooving.
"Father, Armin is Just a boy He can't be more than ten but looks moře like six, He never hust anyone, He needs to ge to safety." I was pleading.
"Than you should have brought The fabrics, get away from The horské, that Boys blood is on your hands!" He shouted.
Titan was closer, with ugly wide smile And Light hair falling in to his filthy face.
My father was still holding The riffle And I couldn't move my arm.
"Dad please!"
The titan was fifty meters away And quickly making The distance shorter.
There was no other way.
A second befor my father gave The horské an order to run, I grabbed his coat And wit all The power I had I tore him down from tho horse And kicked his face. I heard a small pop, As I probably broke his nose.
I grabbed The riffle, fut it over my body, lifted Armin on The horse And told Armin's grandpa to do The same.
I wanted to follow As the titan was only about 20 meters away but my father grabbed my And threw my to the ground, I hit my shot Hand And screamed with pain.
"Go!" I shouted, but The horse didn't move. Armin And his grandpa were waiting for mě.
"Go!" I shouted again, while I was trying to free myself from my father clutch.
Ten meters And we are dead.
With tears in my eyes I hit my father with The bottom of The riffle in his head. He imediately let go. I jumped on The horse And in lest then 5 second we dissapeard from The reach of The titan Who was already trying to capture us.
I saw it, Pick up my father body. I heard him screaming And so him fighting. My heart squeezed in to a size of a lemon, And IT Hurt.
When his body reached The titan's mouth And his jaw dropped, my father body weant limp, blood squirted over The nearby buildings dying my vision Red.
He was dead.
I killed my father.
