“Fuck Y/N? The hell you doing here?” Hange’s voice sounded like a whisper despite its tone being startled and worried. I tried to open my mouth but I seemed to lose all control of my miserable body.

“What the hell is this Hange?”

“This is a person, not it.” Hange’s voice was harsher this time.

Something clinked over my head.

“Open the door shortie.”

I felt a strange sensation close to my ear and Hange’s voice felt closer, “Y/N, are you here?” Then I felt a light slap on my cheek.

“C…..can…’t…m..v.” It was painful to hear my tongue not being able to pronounce simple words but at least I managed to get at least something out of my mouth.

“Fuck it… If you can, try to hold on to me.” Then my body started involuntarily moving. Something strong under my legs and something strong holding my back. I managed to sink my fingers into a rough fabric but how useful that was was a mystery to me.

“That’s right soldier, hold on to me.” They whispered.

I was moving, not my muscles, but my body flew through the hall when suddenly my back laid on a much softer surface.

“Levi, throw me that flashlight.”

“Care to explain what the fuck is all this.” Captain Levi’s voice sounded off but my foggy brain couldn’t really pinpoint why.

“Don’t make it difficult shortie just fucking throw the flashlight.”.

I heard a sigh and then something started shining in my eyes. The blackness went away, replaced by unfocusable fogginess.

“Hey hey honey, focus on me, I need you to tell me what’s going on.” Hange’s voice was cracked by guilt, but my mind was damaged by dizziness and my movement hadn't really come back to me, so it was really hard to try to respond.

“can’t s…see.” I tried but to my ears, it sounded only like throaty rattling.

“Okay, what else, you can’t see and can’t move. Fuck.” Hange’s voice had a strange tone but I couldn’t really place the emotion behind it. Maybe ‘cuz my mind felt really fucked.

“She needs a medic.” Captain Levi said.

“I fucking decide what she needs.”

“You’re a scientist not a doctor.” Levi didn’t stop arguing.

“I got her out of it once I’ll get her out of it again, it's my fault anyways.” Hange’s voice sounded guilty but their hands didn’t stop touching my face.

“Hange?” Levi’s voice turned darker.

“I don’t have time for this Levi.”

“ Hange Zoe, did you experiment on an untested soldier?” The comfortable warmth of Hange’s hands disappeared just as Hange’s voice moved further away.

“Levi..”

“The truth.” Captain Lev’s voice was firm.

There was silence, nothing but silence and I believed I stopped hearing as well when Hange’s voice broke.

“You can’t tell anyone Levi.”

“It’s my fucking duty.”

“I haven’t spitted on you worse things.”

“This is a direct violation of the law and Erwin’s precise instructions, this was the only rule you weren’t allowed to break when he let you do that experiment.” Levi sounded pissed, but what did I know it sounded as if they were talking in the other room but I didn’t remember anyone leaving, or just didn’t hear them.
