Duty

" I promise..Seri is my responsibility..and I will fulfill my every duty towards her.This is my words to you." Ri Jeong Hyuek remembered his own words as he traced his fingers on Seri's face which was flushed by her tears. It did hurt him as he realised he failed....the failure was very small..but he did fail.

" I am sorry Seri...I often forget that I am your husband now."he mumbled to himself..while looking at the childish girl , who was now his wife
,sleeping peacefully on his lap.
Bin smiled and caressed her hairs.Lifting her head softly, he placed it on the pillows for a comfort.
" Sleep well Seriah...I am here." he whispered while covering her with the banket.

" Seriah....oh !! I am so so so happy." Seri suddenly felt a tight hug from her bestfreind Hee Joo , as soon as she entered her classroom .
Seri was about to ask something but before she could open her mouth Hee Joo whispered in her ears..." I did it...We did it Seriah..last night was the most beautiful night of my life." Seri smiled but was little confused..blame to her tender age.

" You did what?" Seri asked while examining the happiness on her face.
" Oh....I know you are married and yet again teasing me...as if you dont know what would have happened.?" Hee Joo smiled shyly. But Seri was all unaware of the feeling Hee Joo was going through.

"You were not exactly this happy when You both kissed each other." Seri rememered that day...when Hee Joo told her about his love in the University and the fact that they already shared a kiss together.

" Seriah..dont act now . I know you are teasing me...but I must say..the ahjusshii....I mean your husband must often do those things with you ..then why are you asking me.?" Hee Joo nudged her arms while teasing her again and again .

"Does what ?..." Seri was totally oblivious to what Hee Joo was referring.

" Yah!! Yoon Seri...dont you think you are acting too innocent.Doesnt that ahjusshi touche you with love?" Hee Joo was now surprised n hence asked the questions.

" Yes ..he does..specially when I am sad or scared." she said softly...remembering how last night..when she was hurt by his words..he caressed her head with his apologies.

" And dont you two share kisses often."Seri nodded remembering how fondly Jeong Hyuek kisses her forehead when she finds difficult in sleeping...or gets scared again.This hits Seri that all these gesture s happen from his side .only whem she is extremely scared or sad.

" Yes often he does .....now a days it happens more." There was a sadness in Seris eyes as she thought of the happenings of her life .These days she becomes sad very often.

Oblivious to what Seri was thinking..Hee Joo continued with her chatterings.

" And often you must be performing your duties as a wife to him."

Seri looked at her and thought for a while.After a pregnant pause she continued, " Oh yes....I make sure his clothes are ready ...he takes his kuch box with him...and eat his every meal of the day on time.I also make sure that he is not disturbed by me.Eomma said as a wife I should perform tbese chores as a duty....so i think I had been quite dutiful to him."

Hee Joo was looking at her in awe.
"And what about those duties ....?" She pressured the word 'those' so that Seri could get it but looking at her still confused expression she explained further.
" The duties which every wife should fulfill to husband....in bed.I wonder whh you are so shocked hering this.This means....oh!! this means you and Jeong Hyuek...never did that together.

At early age of nineteen Seri was too innocent to understand the meaning behind her freind's words .Though they were only one year apart but Seri had never dated anyone earlier...unlike Hee Joo ..who was very much familiar to these emotions.She was never touched....never kissed ...never seen by someone like Hee Joo was referring.She only knew about the fact that couples kiss each other when they need to show acfection .She never knew about those duties...she never knew what exactly marraige is....she never knew what it feels like to share a marital bed with a man.She was just forced in that relationship with Jeong Hyuek...knowi g that taking care of him and his house and doing the chores only make her his wife.Her mother told ber about this...but onone ever told her about the dutues Hee Joo was talking about.Neither her mother...her sister nor he.And now she wanted to know ...she wanted to know where she is lacking to conpletely be Jeong Hyuek's wife.

" You need to become his wife..and give your support to this falling man.You need to fulfill all your duties towards him as his wife." She remembered her mother's words .

Seri looked at Hee Joo.There was certain kind of pity on her face ...which Seri assumed was for her.
" Hee Joo...can you tell me about those duties...so that i can complete it." But before Hee Joo could say anything the bell rang....and the professor came in.
Hee Joo took her leave...saying time will itself tell you.

Seri knew Hee Joo wont help her.She also didnt want her to help .This mych mockery and pity waa enough for her.
But Sedi had decided in her mind...to talk about that very important duty with Jeong Hyuek.She will apologise to him this evening also...for not knowing about this.

Jagi....hope you will forgive me ..tell me where i lacked as a wife."she mumbled before taking her seat.
